- A couple of weeks ago, our school year at Vanderbilt officially ended. Though we are an a cappella group (strictly voices!), we decided to do something a little different for a special goodbye to the class of 2020.
Goodbyes can be extremely difficult; rarely do they ever end on-the-spot. For years afterward, we can find ourselves being brought back to a person, place, or chapter in our lives. An old song, a dumb joke, or a specific smell can catch us off-guard and bring all the memories flooding.
Performed by a trio and a guitar (including our two seniors, Matt and Phillip), this is Over (When We Said Goodbye) by Thirdstory.
Class of 2020: though the last couple of months have been filled with abrupt exits and disappointed expectations, nothing can take away the memories and experiences we have already created together. This is goodbye for now.
