Boston Anime Convention 2023 vlog

My very first anime convention! I was able to go to Boston Anime thanks to my school's Anime Club taking a few members down to Boston! We were only there on Saturday, but it was SO fun. I admit, I was a little hesitant because even though I'm an anime fan myself, I know that anime fans in general have been perceived as "strange", "cringe" or "odd". Especially as content creation has gotten more viral with TikTok and fans creating content that many label as cringey and dumb, I wasn't sure how I'd feel either and I myself was also prepared to cringe too. While there are certainly fans out there who overstep boundaries (as in any fandom), I take back any negative thought tendencies I had. Because seeing everyone dress up as their favorite characters, get excited to meet other characters, and just geek out together was just so wonderful. Seriously, why are we bullying individuals for posting content that is harmless because you find it cringey? Our generation is quick to criticize the wrongdoings of others without looking at ourselves first.
ANYWAY...the convention itself was very enjoyable. It's just so fun being in an environment where people geek out and are having fun :)
