I'm going to give this course a shot. I've been looking for videos on complicated tracking. I'm a noob but not a total noob...so I'm hoping this is what I'm missing.

Cant wait to get it.,. Question: I am learning also to use facetracker.. would you recommend that i learn it further.. or just use track markers as you did.. Thanks in advance
Hi CinaMagic! The answer to your question is: It depends. You can certainly use face tracking software/plugins to achieve the same result. However, the course focuses on using native Blender for almost everything because I didn't want people to be obligated to purchase or download extra software. (The exception in the course is fSpy for projection mapping, which is completely free)
KeenTools Geo Tracker and Face Tracker look absolutely amazing ... BUT they cost $18/mo to use for a freelancer. I don't do nearly enough tracking to justify paying that amount. And I certainly didn't want that to be a course requirement.
So it's completely up to you if you want to use any third-party software/plugins to track your face. It all depends on your budget and preferred workflow. But the course focuses only on native Blender tracking. Hope that helps!
