al Nasai narrates from Muhammad ibn al-Muthana
When Prophet Mohammad(as) said returned from Haj and came to Ghafir Khumm “the prophet declared verily Allah is my master(mawlaya) and I am the Wali of every believer
Then he took Ali (as) hand and declared “to whom I am his Wali then Ali is his Wali”

shia friend of mine told me that saying " Ash-hadu anna Aliya wali-ul-lah " in adhan is wrong because prophet muhammmed pbuh didn't say it.
is it fine to say it? who started saying it? and why? thank you.
From the viewpoint of the Qur’an, ‘Ali (‘a) is one of the awliya’, and the following verse explicitly points to his wilayah over the Muslims:
﴿ إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاَةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ ﴾
“Your guardian is only Allah, His Apostle, and the faithful who maintain the prayer and give the zakat while bowing down.”1
The Sunni Sahihs and Musnads include narrations that highlight the fact that the noble verse was revealed to praise ‘Ali (‘a) who, while doing ruku‘ {bowing down in prayer}, gave his ring to a poor person.2 When this verse which refers to ‘Ali (‘a) was revealed, Hassan ibn Thabit versified this event in the following poem:
فأنت الذي أعطيت إذ أنت راكع
فدتك نفوس القوم يا خير راكع
فأنزل فيك الله خير ولاية
وبينهما في مُحكمات الشرائع
You are the one who donated, while doing ruku‘. May the souls of the folk be sacrificed to you, O the best of those who bow down!
Thus, God has sent down the best wilayah to you, and explained it through the decrees of the Shari‘ah.
3. The Holy Prophet (S) said:
إنما الأعمال بالنّيات.
“Verily, actions are (judged) by intention.”
Since the wilayah of ‘Ali (‘a) is one of the principles stipulated in the Qur’an, and the said phrase is not regarded as part of the adhan (or iqamah), what is wrong about uttering it alongside the testimony to the apostleship of the Prophet (S)?
Here, it is necessary to mention that if due to adding a sentence to adhan, the Shi‘ah must be castigated, how could the following two cases be justified?
1. Authentic historical references confirm that the following phrase:
حيّ على خير العمل
Hayya ‘ala khayr al-‘amal
“Come to the best of deeds”
was part of adhan,3 but during the caliphate of the second caliph, this phrase was omitted under the pretext that when people hear the words “the best of deeds” they will think that praying is better than jihad and cease taking part in jihad. And things remained as such.4
2. The sentence,
الصلوة خير من النوم
As-salatu khayrun mina ’n-nawm
“Prayer is better than sleeping”
was not part of the adhan during the time of the Holy Prophet (S) but has been included therein later on,5 and as such, in the book, Al-Umm, Imam ash-Shafi‘i says:
"أكره في الأذان الصلوة خير من النوم لأن أبا محذورة لم يذكره."
It is not pleasing for me that we say in the adhan: ‘as-salatu khayrun mina ’n-nawm’ because Abu Mahdhurah (one of the narrators and muhaddithun) has not included it (in his compilation of hadiths).6 I hope this will guide you!

5000 subs with no videos challenge I’m Shia, and I’ll ask you the question and I believe in the Quran it says Ali is the guardian, but this is a test for me and you from Allah. Ok the first question is why did Allah write imam Ali aleihi wasalam as many, what I mean is why did Allah write Allah, why not we, and why rasoolullah why not the messengers. And if you say to show respect to imam Ali why did Allah not then show respect to himself and the rasool. Brother I have two answers for these, the first is maybe allah made the announcement important, so what I mean if Allah wrote we and rasoolullah as messengers, then it wouldn’t be so important, but if Allah wrote imam Ali aleihi wasalam as mumineen alone, then it would be important as if Allah says and you need to here imam Ali’s commands, and the wuhabi would say, which commandments, then inshallah you’ll reply by saying, wali has 25 meanings, and only one meaning out of 25 means friend, that means out of 25 meanings of wali only one meaning in those 25, means friend. So say what is the coincidence of imam Ali being a friend. So the next proof is, where there is an ayah were rasoolullah is saying, bring your children and we bring our children, bring your women and we bring our women (cannot remember the ayah inshallah you will) so why did rasoolullah say our women and there was only one woman and it was Fatima Zahra aleihi wasalam, so what you find in the ayah [5:55] is that Allah may write himself as Allah not we, and he may write rasoolullah as rasoolullah not messengers, and he can also write imam Ali as mumineen like in the word of people just like Allah wrote Fatima as women, not woman as in one. Brother in inshallah going to do a video in my TH-cam channel about Sunni Shia part 2 with no hate because I’m not here to divide. And I have a lot of info but I still need to study this Shia and Sunni thing. And do never forget, when Shia says the Quran has been changed, we Shia mean by the "ٍ َ ّ ً ُ ِ ْ ٌ ٰ ٓ” those has been added in the Quran. And as what Shia also mean by the Quran has been changed is the tafsir, I’ve heard it from sayed Muhammad baqir qaswini. Search him, Salam brother

Allah (SWT) didn't write imam Ali's name in the quran, but made his name clear in the quran through tafsir. Imam Ali's willayah is so important that there will be a loud cry in the sky in the endtime saying that the truth is with imam Ali. Maybe you've heard about this hadith. Also, Mawla means leader, because the prophet (SAW) said in a hadith: "Indeed, Allah is my Mawla and I am Mawla of the believers. Therefore - "For who I am a Mawla (leader) Ali is his Mawla" (leader). This hadith makes it very clear that Mawla does mean leader. I understood a bit from the part where you talked about the aya. Like I said, Allah (SWT) made imam Ali's wilayah and other things clear through tafsir. i am familiar with the Qazwini's. I like sayed Sayed Baqer Al-Qazwini and Ahmed Al-Qazwini. Especially sayed Ahmed's series about imam al-Mahdi (atfs) and paradise. I suggest asking a knowledgeable sheikh/sayed, because I'm 15 years old and not that qualified to answer questions. Inshallah you'll find your answers soon. May Allah guide you and reward you.
