Back then, the leaders of Hendrick Motorsports were Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. Now next year, the leaders will be Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson
Just becauss kyle larson is older doesnt mean he will be a leader there. He isnt all that talented at cup lvl. Chase already has more wins than kyle does and quite frankly i think alex bowman will be more successful than kyle

Honestly if we're going by the drivers, i think bowman should be in the 5, he may not be in the lead every week but he's damn consistant, just like casey kahne, i think people forget just how talented kahne was, he would probably still be in the series if it weren't for his health issues
Kyle Larson also drove inferior equipment as oppose 2 Hendrick and has been more successful than Bowman and the 24...

I am so ready for 2021 season cause while this season has been really good (even with rona and Atlanta) but so all the silly season news and new tracks and schedule (cya Kentucky)
Hendrick is going to be the team to look out for next season because look at the schedule: the Bristol dirt race and 6 road Courses are Kyle's and Chase's strongholds
Bowman and Byron run really well on road courses too.

Figures you’re gonna make a video about this today. But anyways, with this announcement that’s being made, I can’t wait to see what Kyle Larson’s car looks like for next year along with how he’ll do in this car for next year! I’ll keep an eye out on him once the 2021 season starts on February!

Would love to see Kellogg's or even Tide back on the 5 car. Perhaps some of Kyle's dirt racing sponsorships step up. NOS Energy Drink? Lucas Oil? Tarleton & Sons? Ollie's Bargain Outlet? Would NASCAR allow the World of Outlaws to put their logo as a sponsor in an effort to get more eyes on their series?

I can't wait to see what penske delivers, I do hope the 2 and 22 have more than a couple years so I can one day see them racing in person but for me penske has two of the drivers with the most passion and I can only hope it stays that way in the future

just an fyi Larson had a driver by the name or Carson Masedo that ran full time for his world of outlaw team. the sprint car he has run full time this season is owned by Paul Silva.
I hate that it’s for Hendrick, but I am super happy to have him back in cup.
That’s Awesome For Kyle, proud of him! But.. just some food for thought... if Hendrick can bring back the No. 5, Maybe... Dale Jr could (if the people want it), bring back the No. 5 or the No. 88 in a few years in a full time basis and not just a part time carousel for Cup Drivers (for The No. 88, in particular...)

I'm happy that Kyle Larson is back. I don't how many wins he'll get next year. But I do think he will win the bristol dirt race.
I think that the addition to Hendrick is good for Kyle Larson. He could use his know-how from dirt racing to clean up nice on the Bristol dirt track next year. That could be a big W for that team!
I like the new hms, I think they can really show their true colors while not racing under the shadow of jimmie johnson

Hendrick cars are not fast enough for him to be a monster but definitely will be in the running at his best tracks. The present package hurts him quite a bit.

Anyone else feel like they should have moved cliff daniels off the box and brought back Keith rodden? Rodden had multiple wins with the 5 during its last stint. And his fill in race this year with the 24 team proves he still has what it takes to be a team leader. Just my thought

Hendrick has never had all of its cars running at the top at the same time. There has always been at least one car that didn't cut the mustard. Lately, except for Chase Elliott, the team has been struggling but maybe the Camaro and aero is to blame for that. I think next year may be the first time all four cars have shots at winning but a title? Don't know about that.

Montraze Harrell (probably spelled name wrong) told a player “you a bitcha** white boy” and he still played in the basketball game. People deserve second chances. Floyd Mayweather had how many domestic violence/sexual assault cases throughout his career yet he still boxed. If it wasn’t for NASCAR who gets a bad rap when it comes to race relations I don’t think the story would’ve been as big.

@@zenon459 I am not a fan boy I am 43 years old I was a huge Jeff Gordon fan through out his career. Chase has been impressive his hole career and i get tired of hearing how he was in bad equipment .
@@bigb4894 @Robert Robinson Note that Chip's equipment is most likely a fourth of what Hendrick's equipment is. They can be good, but only at certain times. Larson with Hendrick opens up so many new possibilities with his new ride. He now has a shot to prove himself in top-notch equipment for the first time in his career. He's young and about to strike his prime here soon. I'd say give it at least 6-10 years and he'll be winning more and more races and competing for championships before you know it.
if kyle larson can win in lower class equipment he'll dominate with hendrick equipment next year

Driving the Ganassi chevy was basically like driving a Hendrick car. The difference will be in the crew surrounding him. Instead of coming to pit road and losing 6 spots every stop he will gain 1 or 2. The crew he had at CGR sucked ass. He will be around better people and THAT'S what will help him win

Eric, Kyle actually doesnt run his own sprint car. I am sure he helps fund it, but the 57 car is owned by Paul Silva. Kyle owns the 2 car driver by Carson Macedo. Just so you know!

Pump the brakes on multiple wins and all that. It will take time to gel with the new team and build chemistry. Now don't get me wrong, I would really like Kyle to get wins next season and all the hype become reality. But people say this stuff all the time, remember DiBenedetto? He was supposed to win multiple races this season too. Calm down with all the wins and success, he needs time to build that chemistry and incorporate himself into the organization.

I'm so happy they brought back the 5, but I wish they would have retired the 48 and kept the 88.
Why would they retire the 48 or 24? They are the two most successful numbers in the team /by far/ and own most of the wins for the team.
Even the 5 cars stats smoke the 88s stats when you consider the HMS number 5 has won a full season championship.
The 88 and now the 9 have the least history with the team. 5 has the most, followed by the 24.
