FYI you can do this without having to destroy a flower. Just use a thick needle or even a thin carpentry nail and use a wire cutting plier on it in a swirl pattern as you move up and down the body of the needle/nail..this creates grooves for the pollen to stick to. Just dip the needle in water (or honey) and insert it into the anther , use an electric toothbrush to then vibrate the flower..and pull out the needle. It should be covered in pollen. All you need to do is insert the tip gently into another flower (or same one) and smear the pollen into the stigma. You can use a dentist's hook tool as well..its handle makes it easier to hold the pointy bit in place as you use the electric toothbrush. I usually clip off the sepals to 'mark' which flower has been pollinated (I hate to leave plastic or dangling string on my plants) and leave the petals and anther intact. Helps attract bees. Also of note, you can plant Nasturtium flowers (edible, really tasty) to grow next to the tomato plant..if there be bees out there, they will come.
1. can u make a video of the process pls 2. is it necessary to work so hard on that one flower? or can we ignore it and pollinate the rest and the plant will still be fine

There are other much easier methods to pollinate so I won’t be using this method, but it’s a good video to show where the pollens are actually located.
No, you don't need to do this, they can self-pollinate. This video is overcomplicating things and wasting a flower that could've become a tomato. Some people have success just shaking them, but you'll have much better success if you have an electric toothbrush. Pollen will get shaken off and pollinate the flower.
I won’t do this with tomato, I don’t think it’s necessary, just shake them. But some eggplant flowers have really deep, short style and simple shaking will not do anything. You really have to dig in to get the pollen to the stigma. This is the only way for me to pollinate indoor, but less traumatic and complicated than this, without having the need to waste a flower. Hehe

Thanks for posting this, there are very few videos out there actually showing the process clearly

Cannot understand how anyone can put on an informative video, then sabotage it with loud unnecessary music/ noise, had to flee
Just gently tap on each flower, the flower will be pollinated. Not sure why this extra surgery to pollinate
I think he’s trying to cross pollinate different plants to create a hybrid tomato variety.
Bro i tapped and gently shaked the branch but the flower shedded. What could have gone wrong?
Thanks for the video.
How many carpels does a tomato flower have?
Does two carpels mean two fruits?
Thanks for this Documtary veideo,

What does this achieve please?
?
Cross Pollination from 2 seperate plants Strains??
Well u only need to shake all the flowers. Its a self pollinating plant. It doesn’t has invidual male and female flowers
Sir, how we can know about male flowers...???
This is part of breeding wherein 2 variety are used in the video.
Is it possible to grow a Seedless Tomato?
The Tamato plant flowers drys off. What is the cause

Hi😎
@@padummarar3836tf?
You had too many open flowers next to the one you emasculated. You need to remove them to prevent contamination
I tried to cross tomatoes but they are still flowers. How much time I have to wait? Thank you
successful pollination are seen within a week.
Thank You!
Hi guys quick question how comes the leaves on the yellow flower are going backwards because mine are just going out
Is this process applicable for melons?
Tremendous class sir
WAY TO HARD. TRY AN ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH VIBRATE EACH FLOWER UNDER THE FLOWER OR JUST HAND TAP LIGHTLY EACH FLOWER BELOW THE FLOWER.
If i breed a plant that makes eatable fruits whit another plant that makes eatable fruits the hybrid will make eatable fruits?
Its not completed
Nice work sir
You have to remove the adjacent flowers to keep pollinators from spreading pollen from them to your emasculated flower.
Under 11mins I can shake a whole tomato farm🤦♂️
isn't the tomato's flower bisexual? Do we really need to do that?

@@EMW_Music exactly. I'm gonna shake it ,once the time comes. I'll try an electric toothbrush too.
