AU EXPLAINED:
I kept the backstory away to bring back the mystery and confusion you originally feel at the beginning of OMORI. MARI is the one to push SUNNY down the stairs, but he actually gets taken to the hospital under the guise that he tripped and fell down the stairs (instead of MARI pushing him). BASIL witnessed the incident, but MARI is older (more logical) and calls for help for SUNNY. At the hospital MARI and BASIL say that they saw SUNNY trip down the stairs so that MARI doesn’t get into trouble while he recovers. When SUNNY dies, however, they remain stuck to the burden of lying about SUNNY’s cause of death, and in MARI’s case, killing him. BASIL is the one who is the escapist, which is why he wasn’t thinking of off-ing himself for 3-4 after SUNNY’s death until reality hit him.
Fun fact: after MARI tells the truth BASIL chooses not to off himself, and instead gets help! 💫

I didn’t want to watch this for so long because the designs were so complex (don’t ask my logic), but I should’ve realized complex designs are sign one of such a good video. This was gold, beautiful video choices that most other videos don’t use, no tetious edits that waist time, beatiful movements from the characters and easily understood lore, and a dull animation at the end with just the right word choice. This is an absolute masterpiece I could never compete with, pat yourself on the back this deserves to be famous.
I actually teared up from this.

I don't know what to say. I'm astonished at just how well made this is.
The designs are really good and I love how you make all of them act. The reactions felt genuine and didn't feel repetitive.
And don't get me started on the animation at the end. The words felt heartfelt and actually made me cry. The animation was wonderful.
This has got to be one of my all time favorite gacha reaction videos I have ever seen. I wish for you to get more recognition!

AMAZING VIDEO AHH
here's the recipe for brownies Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.Ingredients
½ cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
Frosting:
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup confectioners' sugarMelt 1/2 cup butter in a large saucepan. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 1/3 cup cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven until top is dry and edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool briefly before frosting.
To make the frosting: Combine softened butter, confectioners' sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa, honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Frost brownies while they are still warm.

I really like this au. It just makes more sense to me that Basil was still the one there instead of being swapped by Hero. I don’t really understand the backstory of this so maybe I got that wrong but I just think if Sunny were to die everything would be different, because everyone has different coping mechanisms and act differently from how close they might have been

@@RukiRae that’s a lot more logical backstory than Mari killing Sunny and hiding his body or the true nature of his murder. Mari is smarter and more developed so she would have understood the situation better and called for help. I respect that
Your backstory is more ideal than, say, Mari causing Sunny’s death and burying him with Hero - not that this backstory isn’t interesting I just don’t see it fit to the characters
Speaking of being fit to the characters, I don’t think Mari would have dreamed of Headspace the way Sunny did. People usually show her as the hikikomori and make her Headspace version silent (personality-switching with Sunny) when in reality I don’t think she’d view herself the way Sunny does because that’s the way Sunny acts, Mari doesn’t act like him. And I think her coping method would have been different than Sunny’s … and maybe she did dream of a world like how her brother did, but I don’t think it would have been like his
Sorry to rant on that to you, I just think your version of the story is more accurate to what people perceive might have transpired if the roles were swapped
And honestly I just really love the part where Kel does that little shrug in the beginning of the video😭it’s so cute. I love the variety of poses that the characters do instead of just standing there or sitting there like rocks. Thank you for putting the effort into making this video AND THE ANIMATION! The animation was absolutely adorable I just love your art style

I really like how you didn't make hero of one of the cover ups like the others [no hate to them it just doesn't make sense to me] and did use Basil how it originally was because Basil was there first to see it all while Hero was with his brother getting ready for the recital same along with Aubrey. It's so cool how Basil still kind of cover up because they are close and how Mari sent her brother to the hospital because she was 15 #smart. I LOVE THIS VIDEO
