All your DIY projects were great. The ice bucket looked much better white n adding the black wording gave it style. Must agree on the picture frame painting it black was a great idea as you can see the rooster. Before he just blended in. The pumpkin was so cute but I don’t know if I have the patience to do it. There’s more involved n time consuming for me. I’d probably buy it at your booth if I was ever in your town. Your very talented. ♥️😊👍👍👍
Hi Lisa As usual Great projects. Loved each one. Have never seen a pumpkin made out of a book. Definitely have to try this one. As always Nicely Done and TYFS my Sweet Dear Friend Take Care (Pauline S)
Love everything you’ve done, just looks so nice, you are amazing, Thanks for sharing your beautiful ideas, they are great ! Thanks so much for sharing, 🥰♥️
I just love the book pumpkin, I am making pumpkins for a Cancer Charity in October in the UK so I am definitely going to be making some bookpaper pumpkins too, I think they will do well! I just love your channel Lisa, the joy yiu give me as my health isn't good and your projects help me focus on something beautiful! Just keep making things please you have many fans, God Bless you and your loved ones! 🌹
I watch GingerChick Rehab and she specializes in furniture flipping and recently was talking about bleed through. One of her subscribers suggested using Rustoleum Paint and Primer Red Spray Paint. GingerChick tried it on a piece of furniture that was a wood that had that heavy orange tint and is so hard to prevent bleed through. Surprisingly, it worked - somehow the red paint offsets the orange tint and because the paint also had a primer in it, it was sealed. She then went on with her regular painting plans for the piece but I do think that she does not do any heavy distressing on these pieces because she doesn’t want to sand down to the red paint. Just an idea to try. *She did mention that it may be hard to find the paint in stores, but it can always be ordered on Amazon. ~ Linda
Oh Lisa. I've watched a bunch of diy videos and your book pumpkin is the best. Now I know how to do it Love the rooster print. The black pant did the trick.
Thank you so much for the tip about crumpling the book pages for the pumpkin. I’d made one before I saw your video and was disappointed with the shape. It’s now a beautiful full shape and looks so realistic since I crumpled the pages. Going to use some knarly driftwood for the stem. Love your designs, such a fantastic way of upcycling. 🧡
Clear coat won’t stop bleeding on that dark leaf- it’s just a clear coat- it protects against weather and some dings…i always use a spray shellac if I feel like it has any possibility of bleeding- also Dixie belle makes a stain blocker called “boss” 😉
I love this pumpkin. You could probably cut a pine tree shape for Christmas! But this pumpkin is wonderful. Love the rooster picture. The black frame definitely helped.
I love the pumpkin! I like the look of the crumpled pages, but I wonder how it would turn out if, after the pumpkin was cut out, each page was spritzed with a fairly generous amount of water and allowed to dry? You know how books get all fat if the pages get wet! I may try it! Thank you for always so very generously sharing your creativity with us!
What a great idea with books! The pumpkin is awesome. Everything turned out beautiful as always. Looking forward to what you create next! Thank you Lisa!
Someone may have already suggested this but Shellac works very well to prevent bleed through. I made some book pumpkins last season and you’ve inspired me to do some more 😊 I watched someone last year make the stem from a paper sack. They really turn out cute. I think it was the Crafting Cousins.
@@ourshabbycottage8553 Thank you. I know pricing varies by area but just wanted to see if my pricing was comparable and it is. Sales have been slow and thought maybe I was overpriced, but don’t want to give my stuff away either, especially considering the cost of supplies. Always enjoy watching your videos and learning new tricks, tips and ideas. 😊
Love your book page pumpkin! Can you tell me how much you charge for them in your store? I'd like to make a few for the booth I do with my sister, and have no clue what I should ask for them. I never miss a video, love everything you do and the format you use. Thank so much for sharing your creativity with us all!
I am happy to see you see my latest work and I care about your opinion. I think it is very beautiful and deserves support. I am waiting for your opinion
Good job and the BOSS would have done the job, I use it all the time, it would have saved you some time is all.. Try it next time you have a dark stain your covering,
I love the pumpkin idea, I’m going to make a few I may even spray with coffee water to stain. Thanks for wonderful ideas.
Thank you friend❤️. That would definitely work.
Love the pumpkins and the frame. If you spray two coats of shellac on your pieces it will block the bleeding. It dries very quickly. Thanks Lisa
Thank you friend and for the tip as well.❤️
I absolutely love fall decor it's my favorite...🧡🧡🧡🎃🎃🎃🧡🧡🧡
I like it too Margie❤️

Thank you so much sweet friend for all your support and encouragement ❤️. I’ll probably ask $14 for that one because it’s smallish.
So fun watching you turn items into such gorgeous creations! May I ask how much you charge for your pumpkins in your booth?
Thank you❤️. They start at $4 and go up depending on time and materials.
Obrigada 🙏 ameiii
❤️❤️
The book pumpkin is crazy cute. Would you mind sharing the price in your store. I might make some for a show. Thanks
Thank you Christie❤️. That one is smallish so I’ll probably put about $14 on it.
We use shellac spray to prevent bleed through...
Good tip. Thanks
Clear Coat is not a stain blocker at all. Either Dixie Belle Boss or Shellac.
Thank you sweet friend ❤️
@@ourshabbycottage8553 Welcome ❣️😊
Thanks...
Thank you❤️

Thank you ❤️
How about using a small jig saw to cut the book?
That would probably work great! Thank you❤️

What did u use to make the white pumpkins that u displayed w your leaf dish?
I used socks. I’ll be doing a video on those soon.

The ice bucket and tray went together without paint.
True
How much do you sale the pumpkins?
That one is smallish so probably $14
I used cinnamon sticks for my stem and added Raffia😀
Great idea!
