  • Today I went to shoot a gun at the Black Water King Shoot Club in Jomtien Pattaya Thailand. I fired the Smith and Wesson '38. There are a few shooting clubs in the area where you can try a different range of firearms. Shooting guns is a popular hobby in Thailand and gun clubs are a safe environment to do this.
If you would like to try shooting a gun in Jomtien You can find the Black Water King Shoot Club here:

Good video Heath. I used to think, when posting to instagram that “I would go there so you don’t have to”, but it’s not the same thing here. You don’t really get the feel or smell of the place, or the adrenaline of pulling the trigger and feeling the recoil.
So you used to be a cowboy but you have grown up now? That sounds like something interesting…😂

Thanks, Tony. To be honest, there was more kick on my blank shooter than on the real Smith and Wesson I fired today.

Thx for the video as not heard of that shooting range before. But I don’t like the caged tigers there esp with all the gun shots going off daily….shocking conditions for them and they shud be released to a wildlife sanctuary asap.

Price are over top,one 38 special cost 25 baht,at 1500 baht for 50 shots is way too expensive.

      That's only a 250 Baht difference for 50 shots. 🤔

Are people allowed to have guns in thailand?

Thai citizens can own guns. They have over six million of them.

My view on this. Like many laws in Thailand, gun ownership and the restrictions of firearms are not clear. Citizens are often granted gun licenses for reasons of self-protection, sports and hunting. But as a blanket law you are not allowed to own a gun in Thailand. However, there is an increasing number of Thais owning guns illegally as you can buy almost anything here. Rather than take this comment as factual, best to research this one yourself. Thanks for watching. 🙏
