Why complaining the hip belt? It's an absolutely must if you take a backpack on the mountain bike with you. Also hiking it makes it more comfortable an you may reduce weight on shoulder straps. I am totally satisfied with it. One thing I really agree with you: the motors should go underneath completely. Alternative: Manfrotto D1. Attention: the P4 batteries do not fit the Manfrotto battery pockets of the D1 (pockets too small).

Appreciate your comment Roland. I much prefer backpacks with removable hip belts for the times when it's just not necessary. Like I mention in the video, it's just a preference of mine.
Since I made the video I have used the backpack daily for various walks, mountain hikes, mountain biking and it is a very comfortable backpack to use.. My main complaint is and always has been the quality of the inside versus it's cost in relation to better made backpacks.
I never intend to discourage people from buying one, I just made the video so people know what to expect when they order. This is the ONLY DJI product I have disliked and I think that made my option harsher against this backpack because I know their standard is usually much higher than this..

wow cannot believe they didnt put a more solid foam insert into what otherwise would be a nice pack !

The phantom fits better if you put it up-side-down in the pouch.

Does the backpack put a lot of pressure on the motors? Looks like they stick up past the edge of the backpack and foam.

Oh dear, looks like all the other cheap backpacks on eBay. Crazy price as well. Much better options out there.

Since making the video I have used the backpack daily for walking/hiking, mountain biking and for general transportation of the Phantom and it has been OK. It is very comfortable to wear also..
Still think its a bit low quality and costs too much but it does do what it is supposed to do, and well :)

***** I still hold the same opinion that its not a very well made backpack and costs way too much.. And that was/is my main gripe about it and why I highlighted this in the video.
I have a backpack that costs less than half this that I can fit the P4 into and it. That backpack also feels just as good..

this backpack I own because I would like criticism to the authors of this video. Everything there is criticizing stupidity. Backpack is excellent, and the use in extreme conditions. So for me biased reviews, reviews fool

This is one DJI product I wont be buying , apart from what you describe , notice you cant even lay it on it's back without it rocking and spinning about like a stranded tortoise , it is going to get scratched to heck with not feet to protect , you cant even use this as a launch pad when in rocky/dirty areas . not a thought out product , looks over functionality !

I am totally satisfied with it. It works great with P4 and contrary to the videos message, the hip belt is an absolutely must. On a mountain bike no hip belt = no purchase. Also normal hiking hip belt reduces weight on shoulder straps and makes this backpack super comfortable to carry your copter with you.
