Hey Ken, absolutely love your bicycle tours! many of those areas brings back great memories of my years in Las Vegas as a real estate broker! thank you so much for your efforts and sharing! some of those are some really long rides! really appreciate the time and energy you give to us! really like it when you call out the major street names kind of helps to get my bearings! i’d like to suggest another ride you might want to consider. East parking Road from Eastern east to McLeod or Pecos then south to flamingo and come back towards Eastern and on down to Maryland Parkway. Some really interesting vintage houses on East Viking!
East Viking is a nice street. The connecting streets have some nicely well-maintained homes and the area looks quiet and calm. Here's something for you, there was a raid at the Boulevard Mall yesterday. Several agencies descended looking for counterfeit goods (clothing, etc) and a pharmacy was allegedly selling medication with asking for prescriptions. I should have gone over and made a video. lol Have a great day!

@@williamcochell9889 Yep. The big three were Sears, Macy's and JC Penney. I think JC Penney was the first to fall and then the space became a discount furniture shop. That then became "El Mercado" the shopping area with restaurants and tons of little shops. This is where the raid happened. Macy's bolted and it became something, can't remember - maybe a furniture store(?), and then became an Anthem call center. Once the pandemic hit, I think the workers began to work from home. I'm not sure if they've returned. Sears left and the space was empty for awhile. Part of the site is now a United Education Institute. One of those tuition places which teach HVAC, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting and things like that. The other part of the former Sears site is a call center.
I used to ride my bikes all over in San Diego. As having moved to Las Vegas from two years ago, I am aware of the paths, but it would be nice if more of native Las Vegans would do a show and tell of where all these bike paths are so those who are into riding(for various reasons) know where they can ride their bicycle for a fair amount of distance and safety. Back Country trails (for those who enjoy mtbiking or BikePacking) should also encourage the natives here to do a show and tell of where trails are. The show and tell in OPTIONS in BIKE TRAVEL...
pepe's tacos on the corner of Fremont st and Charleston Blvd. used to be the international house of pancakes (i hop) in the 70's and early 1980s yes the area at 19:01 is downtown the showboat casino used to be there .i was born and raised there in Las Vegas and lived in that area of downtown and raised in that part of las vegas
