About Young Sheldon:
It’s 1989 and 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper has skipped four grades to start high school along with his less-intellectual older brother. @@realoplife I know, but he behaves like a toddler. I think that this is Mary's fault, bc she treats him as if he has the age of a toddler.
I've autistic traits too, but I don't behave like a toddler in the body of a 29 year old. I also know a few people whith harder autism than me, but they're not as disrespectful as they're shown in films and series.
We can get educated in acting respectful too, even if we've a different opinion.
When I was a little kid, I did hurt a few peoples feelings, but my mom taught me, to keep these kind of thoughts in my mind instead of speaking them out loudly.
Often times she also told me to think about how the person came into a certain kind of situation and if it was really the way it seemed.
When I was a toddler, I was to lazy to walk on my own, so I sat down on the floor and yelled, that I don't walk anymore, bc a middle aged man also didn't have to walk.
I was to young to know, how people get into a wheelchair. I felt ashamed of myself and cried, when he told me, he would like to swap places with me and walk on his own again, if he could. It made me really sad and I apologised.
He told me the reason for sitting in his wheelchair and my mom taught me the lesson to think about disabilities and their circumstances and that it's disrespectful to stare at them or handle them differently than the people without disabilities.
I was never disrespectful to people with visible disabilities again.
