Super video clip. The cool thing about this is that I now live here off grid. Some amazing birding right in my own yard such as Botteri's Sparrows and Cassins and Chihuhuan Ravens. SE Arizona rocks!
Wow, that made the memories of birding in Arizona (around the same time) come flooding back. what a fantastic area. The nocturnal birds were a real highlight
I'm from Arizona and south eastern is my favorite part of the state. My friend is a kartchner. She told me the story about her grandparents and the caverns. Great video. Thank you.
Outstanding episode of Birding Adventures... one of the best. I'm floored that you all can get such unbelievable quality of video from such a small camera. Thumbs up to Nikon :) . Cochise County worthy of more coverage! Thanks for posting on TH-cam... makes it easier to share with friends.
I remember watching this show on TV and loved it. So happy It is on TH-cam. I also love southern Arizona and have gone twice, seen trogons both times. (accidentally took some trogon pictures in a black and white mode)
I saw my first Elegant Trogon at the Patagonia mountains and it was one of the best moment of my life! And, when I was going trogon surveys for the Tucson Audobon Society, I saw a pair defending a nest at the Ramsey Canyon Preserve and it was unbelievable! I love this channel and I am so excited to see you highlight one of the gems of Arizona. Perhaps next time youre here you can do an episode focusing on the Black-Capped Gnatcatchers of Madera Canyon! I was able to track down their nest and watch a pair of gnatcatchers raise four chicks all the way till when they fledged!
This is the best birding program out there in my opinion. I would love to see yall do an episode on the Texas Attwater’s prairie-chickens. A highly endangered bird only found in East Texas. Also, the Golden Cheeked Warbler of Central Texas would be a great bird to showcase as well.
The production quality has increased many folds in recent episodes, also the guest 'stars' are doing an awesome job.Happy to see so many happy faces. Keep up the good work! Waiting for more california birds (morongo preserve maybe?)

@@baileythebirder you will love the book. He relates his hair-raising adventures with the big four (lions, leopards, rhino, buffalo) and ends with "and then I met my wife!"
Wonderful photography...could you get rid of the music? Twice when you mentioned hearing specific bird calls the music completely drowned it out for us.
Thanks for posting all your Birding Adventures! I've been watching all your episodes. What time of year was this episode filmed? I live in AZ, and want to see these birds too.
4:22 Since the "Lucy's Warbler" has a beautiful voice, why didn't you silence the music for a moment so we could hear the bird's call? Wouldn't that be reasonable? ~ It would be nice if logic were applied to the production of your videos, so that we could hear such birds. We didn't come to your videos to hear raucous music, but to appreciate the birds and scenery. Please keep that in mind, and that not all viewers are able to get out to hear and see them directly, videos being their window on the world. The infirmed, recovering, disabled or "shut-in's" do watch videos, and there is no reason why you can't share some of these birds' sounds, instead of attempting television-style "entertainment". In spite of these neglected production values, I have saved a number of your videos to my huge Arizona playlist, an organized video tour of much of the state, focused on the natural beauty, terrain and wildlife of the region, saving this and others of your videos, to the Cochise County section of my playlist, in order to share southeastern Arizona beauty with others. Thank you for sharing your excellent photography.

Hello Christine good evening...
Wow, Kartchner Caverns! I wasn't familiar. I'll check it out sometime. I've hiked Carr Peak. It's a really beautiful area.

Thanks Sean - yes Nikon have unbelievable quality through their glass. Agreed that Cochise county needs more coverage - so much to see.
So glad to find these! I loved the show on tv (and went to Ecuador entirely because of one episode :-) ) This is great work!
Many thanks Dennis!
Hello Denise..
Thank you for this cool video! I grew up in SE Arizona hiking these mountains regularly.
What a great video. Thanks!
Great video of birding adventures. The quality is really awesome with a small camera.

James goes birding in the SE Arizona mountains in flip flops. He is either immune to snake venom, or extremely uninformed.
Probably both Jeff!
Have you read James Currie’s book, the page-turner “When Eagles Roar”? He fears nothing!
@@theslof1 No I haven't but thanks for that info. Buying the book today!

22:30 Isn't that why you're supposed to keep it in your line of sight?
Trogons are found well down into South America not just to Guatemala.

Wonderful viewing. I am also a videographer and would like to know what camera/ Scope combi you are using ? Many thanks in advance.
Hi Tim - I use a Nikon EDG 80mm scope with the FSA-L2 adapter and a Nikon D5200 camera.
