One thing that bugs the crap out of me anytime I try to ride in Portland is that the sign text for cycleway signage is impossibly small. "Yeah, I know you're riding on terrible pavement in the rain wearing glasses, but could you please read this sign in FHWA Flyspeck font in 3 point size at 40 km/h?" --Portland BOT and ODOT probably. Seriously the sign font sizes should be no smaller for bicycle facilities than they are for motor vehicle facilities, maybe even slightly larger.
How I would fix the sign in the thumbnail: Just use a normal I 205 sign assembly but use a BIKE supplemental plate instead of/in addition to a NORTH or SOUTH one.
