I love that you mentioned how much work Dan has put into his craft. People go on about "talent" as if this kind of performance just happens, when it's nothing like that. With Dan, you can actually witness his evolution as a singer because his early videos are still available on his channel. He leaves them up to show how far he's come. His first video is definitely not something to react to (Dan himself says, "It sucks.") but I personally find it inspirational to see how this "kid" put in the work and practice to become the vocalist he is today.
I am like you- I find it fascinating and astonishing to view his early videos. In comparison to his newest ones, it has been a monumental evolution and Dan gets 100% of the credit. There are many people with so-called "gifts", but not many have worked hard to train their gifts and figure out the best way to make a good living off of them. Dan has done it all with sheer drive, determination, untold hours, and passion. I am SO happy for him!!! 😊

Wow you are so blessed to have been able to see Michael Crawford. I used to watch him as Frank Spencer when I was a kid living in the UK and loved him then. When he then played the Phantom, I was shocked that he could be that powerful.💜

Please react to Dan singing Nessun Dorma from Giacomo Puccini’s Italian opera Turandot. He sings it in Italian. This song is considered one of the more difficult opera songs to sing for the male tenor voice and of course Dan makes it look effortless. Extremely powerful. You should most likely recognize the song as soon as you hear it. It was made quite popular after the late, great Pavorotti sang it. Your mind will be blown, especially at one particular note that Dan hits which makes the songs difficulty level so extreme. Love ur reactions ❤❤

Dan likes the description of "metal singer", so be it but his many covers have shown us the infinite versatility of his voice. I am quite sure he could sing the dictionary and I would be sitting on the edge of my seat with tears rolling down my face at the pure beauty of his voice. What a wonderful gift he has and how wonderful of him to share it with all of us!

I checked to see if there were any musician credits, and there weren't. Because this is a bit older, though, it still might have been his or a friend's efforts, because he didn't always write in the credits back before TH-cam got so HUGELY picky about everything. These days, it's all documented.

On many of his covers he lists who contributed which instrumentals. He b often does the orchestral arrangements.

I heard Dan say once that he was a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera & that the movie with Gerard Butler was probably his favorite because of the cinematic aspects which stage doesn't provide. He also did the "Phantom of the Opera" duet and also Christine and Raul's duet "All I Ask of You". Another stage song you might chk out is Dan's version of "Gethsemane" from Jesus Christ Superstar. I'm not even a big fan of that production, but Dan just kills the vocals, theatrical presence, costuming, etc.
If you like this, try Gethsemane. I think it's from Jesus Christ Superstar. Amazing! Always takes my breath away.
