This is a gentle whodunnit without the excessive graphic details and language. It takes us back to a bygone day when we can enjoy a movie without cringing. There are so many things that are ugly and dreadful in our world. I thank you Kamalesh Devi for the upload. I hope others who watch this will choose to see the positives rather than dwell on the negative. CHOOSE to be kind and thankful.
I was giving it a chance, but by the 10:55 the very annoying background music made me change my mine cz it was very difficult to hear the people talking ☹️👎
In my sixties, I guess is safe to say I got old and soft at the same time. Watching Hallmark movies never was on my bucket list. Mr. Van Dyke never disappoints either. Thanks for sharing :)

I wish they would lighten up on the characterization of a forgetful, befuddled, absent-minded elderly man. Such a cliche==we don't need it repeatedly reinforced. They have missed a great opportunity to portray a high functioning elder.
It's the opposite as more and more people have been diagnosed with an early onset of dementia, so as a result we have more older people with these symptoms.
I'm used (I'm male) to seeing an outrageous quantity of beautiful women in movies of every sort, but the frequency, here, of very handsome men -- the lead policeman, the private investigator, even the absent-minded professor -- is, to me, quite a surprise. The female lead is, by contrast, of average looks.
I'm at 16:18 minutes... and well, or better say, NOT well al all, the background music sucks, or better say (as before said)... it's a simply and too loud SHIT, covering the dialogue ! I'll try to follow the film but... I'm not sure to stand such a background shitty noise ! Edit : After a while... As I said before, the fucking background noise keep going... maybe it's a penalty "to pay" for watching a free movie on TH-cam... (never let down any motive !...), was unbearable. So, fuck this movie and skip it to another.

I like Mr. Van Dyke so much, in every film and episode. His son is very nice too. I am glad we all had them in our generation of entertainment.
Dick is 98 years old 😮 and I hope he turns 100 and more. I always liked him. Diagnosis murder is still one of my favorite series.
