Hey Korg why have you locked the SGX-2 engine so users can't use their own piano samples within the SGX-2 engine? We can create own our piano samples/programs in HD1 but we don't have a lot of the stuff thats in the SGX-2 engine. Why has Korg locked this down?
@freetrader00007 It was, it's pure keyboard porn! Thanks a lot for the video, Rich and KORG, and the KRONOS. This synth is going to make history, and make a lot of us synthesizer players sound epically great!
How do you get the damper pedal noise that is talked about in the specifications? I hear the mechanical noise when a key is struck and when the "hammer" returns, but when I press the damper pedal, I don't hear the noise I'd hear on a physical piano. How do I make this feature work? The rest is palpably real. I have regular access to a 1939 Baldwin grand and have played a Bosendorfer 290. Only the Kronos has this palpable real sound and playability. I'm impressed!
From the performance perspective, already the Korg Oasys was mindblowing and "buttkicking" how you'd say it's competition with other companies. Now the Kronos became more affordable with half of the price, than compared to a 8000€ Oasys while providing a better performance than it's forerunner
Is it good? (Berlin) I've got a Kronos X 88 running OS 3.0.2, so essentially it's a Kronos 2, minus the Berlin, a new patch bank, (both of which I can purchase) & the larger screen. The Kronos' stock pianos are incredible, but I've been thinking of grabbing the Berlin. I also have a Kurzweil PC3K, & I'm thinking about getting the German D Grand expansion, but cost like $600. (a little too much IMO) Berlin seems like a better deal, for the money. Oh....and I have the K-Sounds "Epic Grand". (pretty good.... well worth the money.)
Are each of the 8 samples per key programmable? For example, can I change the velocity intensity for each sample? I like a very dynamic range and want to make the higher velocity samples brighter.
Korg didn't think to place any of these controls on their premier stage piano, the SV1. Decay & release aren't even adjustable from the editor, let alone the much needed parameter controls to make it this versatile. We can only control the FX, volume, & EQ, but no real customization is possible.I bought SV1 & then saw this & lamented. Please, give us controls like this on the SV1 KORG, PLEASE. Sadly, my gut tells me Korg will move on & put them in the SV-2 & we SV-1 owners will be forgotten...
Even if you compare the actual kronos itself to any other workstation it is still the winner.
it's a very rich and detailed piano experience.
It's about time Korg came up with SOMETHING!!!! They must have gotten enough 'butt kicking' from Yamaha's Motif series...

Monster KRONOS!!
What I learned is that I have to learn more.
@ViperKillerWannabe thank you ALOT man! i really needed to know that. (when i read over it, it sounded sarcastic. believe me, it isnt :))
if i wanted to, could i just make my own preferences on a piano and save it as my own piano?
please answer korg! i am buying korg monotron today, but i have a yamaha keyboard. can i still "remix" the keyboard with the monotron?
@supertardfish The monotron is just an audio filter. Plug the audio output of your Yamaha into the audio input of the Monotron.

Are this the factory sounds?
It's awesome! I ll buy Kronos instead of a piano!! sounds better dude!!
@supertardfish Put the output though the monotron. Audio is universal.

@peterkadar :)
This is just a different world it's so many variables my brain hurts. You need a music degree just to use it
@antimarxism Maybe the original video was flagged for pornography.
