    youre not wrong about how AIR RB was in the past, i can remember having lots of fun with IL-2s, you cant do that anymore

    In my opinion, I think the biggest issue with Air RB is and has always been the fact that you only get one spawn. If they made it more like enduring confrontation or ground RB where it is more focused around the objectives rather than just being a vehicle team death match, I believe it would improve the mode massively.
    As it stands, attack planes and bombers are nothing but a net detriment to your team. They are unlikely to get any kills and the targets that they destroy do very little (if anything) to help your team win the game. But if you were able to respawn (like you can in both ground RB and EC,) then completing the objectives becomes the primary means of winning the game. This would make ground attack planes and bombers go from being useless to being the most valuable elements on your team since they are directly contributing to your team's success.
    Attackers and bombers complete objectives, fighters cover the attackers and bombers so they can complete the objectives. All unit types have a role, all would be important and the game would play significantly better than it currently does.
    What's annoying is that everything I just described already exists in the game. It's just locked behind simulator mode, which almost nobody plays.

    I think that the goal of ARB should be to win a simulated battle on the ground. Have some basic fighting down there with different scenarios and you need to use a combination of strike, bombers and fighters to win the battle.
    The strike will attack the ground forces of the enemy, directly helping the ground forces and raising the score.
    Bombers will get rid of buildings, bunkers and runways to stop reinforcements and disrupt the enemy fighters.
    Fighters will try and stop the strike forces and bombers while protecting their own.
    This way they could still keep the larger lobby sizes but it wouldn’t all devolve into a fur all in the middle every single time.
    After a ton of play testing and balancing you could probably make a very fun and balanced game where all units are useful and almost any plane can be used. The biggest thing would be balancing the rp and sl gain from each task for completing tasks and such.

    This is what i would do, split the playerbase into 2, one will be Dogfights Mode, 4v4 or to 8v8 quick matches in small (or medium depending on BR) maps, airspawns, quick battles something like CODs 2v2. the other side, Enduring Confrontations RB, big tactical matches, maybe even PVE, with realistic scenarios, Era based Tiers, Respawns etc. Then delete high tier Arcade for air, so from BR 5.0 or 7.0 all players need to play Realistic (high tier arcade is dead anyways)
