Riding Behind D1015 ‘Western Champion’ on the English Rivera Airshow Rail-tour |+ PDSR,Saphos,Planes

- What a day!
We start our day at 6:30am at Birmingham New street, where we see Saphos Trains’s excursion ‘English Rivera Express’ Crewe-Kingswear, Class 49 D213 Crewe- Taunton, 61306 ‘Mayflower’ Taunton-Kingswear.
Our tour pulls just minutes after from Tame-Bridge Parway, With D1015/D1011 ‘Western Champion/Western Thunderer’ (Different plates in different sides) We board and depart, and we hear her thrashing past Camp Hill and Small Heath, and departing Dirridge with lots of clag.
We bomb down Hatton and board at Leamington Spa, and we hop off for a quick photo break at Banbury.
From Swindon, we travel towards Didcot, where we turn on the to GWML, Pause at Challow Junction. To be overtaken, and bomb down to Swindon, another very quick photo break.
We bomb down the GWML towards Bristol, where we have a quick look at the 52s magnificent engine, And her stunning cab, suprislgy well kept, so shiny!🤩
We Travek through the picturesque bath
(No video soz!) and speed through the loveley countryside to Taunton, where we reach speeds if possibly 80! Thrash past the Dawlish/Teignmiuth sea walls, pause to let off passengers at tour hay and pull into Paignton.
At Paignton, The Empty stock is moved to Goodrington C.H.S and we hop on 37703 of a stunning, beautiful, thrashy ride to Kingswear! Spotting 61306 Light engine on the way.
At Kingswear, we travel over to Dartmouth, enjoying the scenery, and then race back, just in time to see 61306 ‘Mayflower’ Hauling her tour back to Crewe! Tons of bark and a deafening whistle!The best of LNER.
7827 ‘Lydham Manor’ then pulls in, runs around and outs on a pure GWR spectacle of steam, barking max throttle up gooodridgton bank! We then catch the tour home, and D1015 Departs New street thrashing into New Street Thnnels back to Tame-Bridge Parkway.
