Sorry, i didn’t answer your winterization question. You do not-bypass a tankless heater. Personally, I blew mine out with air and then pumped non-toxic antifreeze through all of the lines. This ensured that the antifreeze wasn’t diluted by water in the lines. Make sure to pump water to the outside sprayer and the toilet. Last, I opened the low point drains. I highly recommend the method for winterization that I am using this year, drag it to Florida and stay there until spring 😂
