@Ajax Stifler optimism/pessimism is nothing more than a perspectival lens with which we weigh and measure the world from. Both are abstract concepts which aren’t “true” in any “real” way, but if you really look at nature, it doesn’t fit within an optimistic perspective. Pessimism gives me a bottom up perspective where I see how dark and cold the world is, and ANY rays of sunlight mean much more that they would have if I were to take them for granted with an optimistic understanding.
