Our loved ones never really leave us, we just can’t see them. I lost my soulmate over 40 years ago, and luckily I’ve heard from him (psychically) a few times since, and know that someday we’ll be back together again, because he told me so. So yes, our loved ones are only hidden from our view. It’s really difficult missing them but comforting to know that their love hasn’t disappeared and that they’re eagerly waiting for us to join them. He sent me the song You’ll Accompany Me by Bob Seger. I wasn’t previously very familiar with the song and ever since he sent it, it has really brought me a lot of comfort.
