Magnificent, Andy!! It was a privilege and honor to be your audience of one for this performance, so I’m absolutely delighted that the audio and video came out so well that others could enjoy it too. Bravo!!!
Outstanding Andy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a great piece ! I've always loved that whacky fugue with its off-beat entries and fiendish pedal solo at the end. Your phrasing and timing of all those flourishes in the prelude are impeccable., you make every note count, and your use of agogic accents is so effective. Thank you for your performance. Brilliant.
This performance was incredible Andy. I. and I am sure many others gain great pleasure from watching and listening to you play. You are indeed a very talented organist. I wish you all the best for the future in all you do and look forward to the next video. Keep well and safe. James.
Hey Andy! All that in you head! Just amazing and outstanding. Your practice discipline on display! I’m certain that represents many many hours of work. Can’t say enough about how impressed I am. So glad I found you to watch and enjoy. Hope you continue to post your stuff (when you can) at school! God bless you!!
Another great performance of this P & F. Your registration was perfect for the crypt - nice and clear throughout. You did really speed up towards the end. No need to hurry that much!
Love how you hold back on the sustained pedal entry Andy - it gives the pedal room to move when you add the other stops to its solo parts in the Prelude - the fugue just ripples along at a most controlled speed. Then you open up the organ and the glorious sound breaks through. Congratulations young friend.
Besides the fact that you make it look so easy to play difficult pieces, you have a calm presence that tells me you are a gentle and sweet soul. Hope to see you at St. James here in L.A. someday!
That was so awesome Andy. You are one of the best. I could watch and listen to your playing all day long. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us. Bravo!
Una volta salii ad un rifugio sulle Alpi con i ragazzi della parrocchia. Dopo cena il gestore che era anche guida alpina ci chiamò sul retro. vi era un irgano elettronico non so come l'avesse portato su. .
Hi Andy - back again! I've just watched this - what a great performance of BWV 543, from memory! Apart from your musical skills, there is something else that's special too about your last two uploads - the audio quality! I've listened online to all of the three magnificent organists of The National Shrine play this instrument, but I've never heard the accoustics/dynamics of this fine instrument demonstrated with such clarity! (did you get Tom Scott to fly over?) or was this a new recording method/equipment - or simply just an 'empty' (i.e. no audience) 'natural' accoustic? I'd love to know? Tony, UK.
Whenever I’m back home I use an old Olympus mic that my grandfather has. It’s very simple yet highly effective. And also he and I were the only ones in the room so it was empty. We also placed the mic far enough to catch the acoustic but it also had a direct acoustic path to the organ for clarity. If you know the crypt well we put it on the opposite side of the altar from the organ
@@andybrown7325 Thanks for your reply, Andy. Your grandfather's old Olympus mic - together with the empty crypt - clearly provided for the accoustic excellence of your two performances there! As far as I'm concerned, you have done a fantastic job of highlighting this intrument's beauty and dynamics. Very well done to you - and your gradndfather!
A really fabulous performance, Andy. I could sense you living in the music, committed to muscle and emotional memory as it is, and this made for a truly compelling interpretation on a magnificent organ. It feels right for the Prelude to resolve at the close with that Picardy third . . . but Bach (rightly!) chooses not to lighten this monumental Fugue in similar vein: the emphatic A Minor final chord is profound in every sense. B R A V O !
Andy: that was your best performance yet of my favorite Bach P&F. I’m fact the best performance anywhere since I can recall. I’m so moved! If you ever find time, I’d love to hear your interpretation of Dupre’s “Cortège Et Litanie.” Thanks!
Gotta spread out my release dates. Also my computer doesn’t like editing 4k so it took a few days. But now I can use Baylor’s recording equipment and film in 6k
Andy, B R A V O! Very well done, 👋👋👋excellent! 👏👏👏
Excellent. Une grande clarté dans le jeu. Un grand Bach joué pour par un grand musicien. Merci pour la performance !
Thank you Andy, for sharing the joy of this piece with us and lifting us in awe as you play it.
Absolutely wonderful performance! You obviously know your way around that beautiful instrument! Such a good crisp sound! Great registration!

Rara competenza. Eccellente il fraseggio e padronanza del brano.
Bravissimo!
Very impressive rendition! Wow!
Thank you for this performance video. Excellent work. Reminds me of my Grandma Irene Meier. She was an organist who loved Bach.
Magnificent! You make it look easy, but I know it's not. You have a gift, and I'm glad you're sharing it.
The difference between your earliest video of Bach and this one is remarkable. THIS is a vast improvement. Congrats.

Dude you are awesome! Thank you Andy. 🙂
Bravo and thank you. You are very good, almost dancing on the pedal.
Superb -- as always...Look forward to more!

Thanks so much for doing this Andy

Bach does like to play around with different endings. He does the reverse in his passacaglia and fugue in c minor
