The fact you made an 8 minute “silent” film full of powerful emotions and storytelling on what was probably a shoestring budget reflects that you have more talent than any multimillion dollar Hollywood studio and production crew.
That right there is the problem you can't put others down to give a compliment maybe those Hollywood studios inspired this person to even make the film. We all have a place in this world the good the bad the ugly!!!!

Telling you now, its one of the most rewarding feelings on the planet. A deaf girl joined my school and had an interpreter with her for every lesson for the first few days. I was scared of going and talking to her, but the Monday after I sat with her at lunch and asked her how she was. She could still speak to me, I could hear her, but I always replied in sign. The look on her face after I replied was one of the happiest faces I had ever seen. Seriously, go learn it. You'll make someone's day.
It reminded me of A Silent Voice and how that movie impacted the viewers, I thank KyoAni for giving us that movie and help us see this heartbreaking film.
They were both beautiful people. Outside and inside. When he took off his jacket, I expected him to show his wrists all scarred and cut. Not what happened. That made him even more different. I'm bullied because I'm poor, because I dress differently from other people, because I'm ugly... Whatever you name it, they claim it. I make it worse by self-harming. But I can't let go. And I refuse to be somebody else just because they don't like who I am.

This short film makes me cry . No one has the right to deeply hurt and scar a child like that . There's a lot of cold hearted children and adults in this world today. But I believe there's a lot of good people as well . We need to love our children and teach them how to love themselves ❤️💙 and how to protect themselves from bullies. I know as a mother I would stand beside my child or for that matter any child that was being bullied. They are the future and precious gifts from God .

I lost my friend to a suicide in 2008. I wish there had been something I could have said to change his mind but he was too far gone by the time he told me he was going to do it.
I believe the suicidal state is so special that the poor one in this state is no longer accessible to words... to thoughts.. this is too late.. and i believe that this state means i.s.o.l.a.t.i.o.n, one rooted in the impossibility to communicate and to be understood. (I was in such a state at some moment in my life.. ) that why this is so good that there is a special emergency number for that and now good competent clinics that understand this state...

As a hearing impaired person , I often feel how nice it would be to have full hearing again , & how often I notice people with good hearing just don`t listen .
I like the visual storytelling in this film, the fact that this has no dialogue and yet give a huge message and a very emotional story is amazing. The acting for me is solid, and the cinematography is very decent, and the music is very well composed. Kudos for you guys for making this!!👏👍😄😄

I loved how the boy as a stranger told her that he cares. There are times when our friends and family can't help and we need to connect to the strangers for that. Sometimes strangers are the people who become our best friends or lovers. So, I feel that it's important for the world to stay kind to the strangers. I am someone who would really need a person like him in my life and I even do my best to connect with people accross even if they are the strangers. But what majority people end up telling me is to focus on only friends and family... I seriously wish instead of telling that, I would have genuinely found a person who cares for me... 🥺

I don't get it why people think silence is uncomfortable. Being able to understand the other person without him/her having to explain to you, that is beautiful. The moment I would be comfortable with sharing silence with someone else is when I will truely love and care about the person.

Great respect to the young lady - the tears were real and I cried along with her. Great performance of the young man. To put feeling into the script and mystery and surprise and your tempo with her - then the shock of seeing an artificial arm (kinda cool actually (I'm a syfi nerd)). I kept wondering what the difference was. So the camera man did a good job also. Great short you two. Hope you do larger projects as I'm sure you will excel. It was... compelling.
People are bullied because they have an emotional weakness- they see themselves as 'different'. When someone laughs at me, I laugh with him(more often them not) may be even double down on the joke. I refuse to see him as a bully he can't see me as the 'different' anymore....We laugh together and end up as cool buddies....more often them not. Slogans on pink T-shirts are only to bring awareness. You just have to learn how to have a stronger heart and stop feeling so sorry for yourself. It's a subtle but permanent solution. Hope it will help you.
I imagine this being effective for many kinds of minor verbal bullying, but it’s harder to brush off someone who’s physically threatening or harming you as a joke.

Such a good story:" I know how it feels to be difference, cuz i've a dark skin and got bullied bcs of it, But now I'm ok more than that I'm grateful. Also this story has a good meaning, good job! I absolutely loved this short film! I'm currently learning Chinese because I feel we, the human race, as a species are brutish to others due to a lack of effective communication. The short film truly captures the struggles of those different from ourselves and how if we were take the time to learn each others language we might be able to find a common ground in world where there is no gravity. A world where everyone around us prefers to leave those different than us grounded so the "normal people" may soar into a vast space of ignorance. Thank you so much for exploring this issue!
I think sign language is just so powerful... it holds so much emotion. We need more people like this young man who care enough about people to run up those stairs and up to that roof... even if she hadn't been up there, he needed to make sure. ❤

I just started my journey in film making this Jan of 2021. And this short film by far is the one that has inspired me the most. Its powerful without any fancy effects. Or any high budget staff/casting. Just a bunch of talented people that came together and made something so simple, that it goes to show you. THAT STORY will always be KING in any cinema. Congrats Toucha Her on this piece and to the casts and everyone involved. This was a great short.
I'm not deaf, and I know that this "normal" thing isn't normal for others. I've seen this film like two years ago for the first time. I started at university, learnt lot of new things, broadened my knowledge, improved my English, started learning Russian and, that's the most difficult "task" for me, started fighting depression which I've got from childhood abuse ("only" mostly mental, not sexual). I know I'm different than others, but I also know that I'm highly privileged. I can hear all these things which others can not. I know about sign language, that it exists, but I've never learnt anything more than that. I want to change this, so I want to learn sign language. And thinking back, I think, this film was the very first impulse for me. Thanks for this short, but even more powerful film. I really love it, although it brings me close to tears every time.

I lost my friend to suicide a month ago today. I wish he could have heard all of this...
I lost my friend to a suicide in 2008. I wish there had been something I could have said to change his mind but he was too far gone by the time he told me he was going to do it.
I believe the suicidal state is so special that the poor one in this state is no longer accessible to words... to thoughts.. this is too late.. and i believe that this state means i.s.o.l.a.t.i.o.n, one rooted in the impossibility to communicate and to be understood.
(I was in such a state at some moment in my life.. )
that why this is so good that there is a special emergency number for that and now good competent clinics that understand this state...
So sorry 😢. We have had two families that are close friends affected by this too. Hurts deeply. 💜 please take care.

As a hearing impaired person , I often feel how nice it would be to have full hearing again , & how often I notice people with good hearing just don`t listen .

I like the visual storytelling in this film, the fact that this has no dialogue and yet give a huge message and a very emotional story is amazing. The acting for me is solid, and the cinematography is very decent, and the music is very well composed. Kudos for you guys for making this!!👏👍😄😄

I loved how the boy as a stranger told her that he cares. There are times when our friends and family can't help and we need to connect to the strangers for that. Sometimes strangers are the people who become our best friends or lovers. So, I feel that it's important for the world to stay kind to the strangers. I am someone who would really need a person like him in my life and I even do my best to connect with people accross even if they are the strangers. But what majority people end up telling me is to focus on only friends and family... I seriously wish instead of telling that, I would have genuinely found a person who cares for me... 🥺

I don't get it why people think silence is uncomfortable. Being able to understand the other person without him/her having to explain to you, that is beautiful. The moment I would be comfortable with sharing silence with someone else is when I will truely love and care about the person.
I cried when I saw this. This is the most beautiful short film I have ever seen in my life, and resonated with me so much. Thank you so much for making this, all the people involved did a really great job because this turned out to be a masterpiece!

Great respect to the young lady - the tears were real and I cried along with her. Great performance of the young man. To put feeling into the script and mystery and surprise and your tempo with her - then the shock of seeing an artificial arm (kinda cool actually (I'm a syfi nerd)). I kept wondering what the difference was. So the camera man did a good job also. Great short you two. Hope you do larger projects as I'm sure you will excel. It was... compelling.
People are bullied because they have an emotional weakness- they see themselves as 'different'.
When someone laughs at me, I laugh with him(more often them not) may be even double down on the joke. I refuse to see him as a bully he can't see me as the 'different' anymore....We laugh together and end up as cool buddies....more often them not.
Slogans on pink T-shirts are only to bring awareness.
You just have to learn how to have a stronger heart and stop feeling so sorry for yourself. It's a subtle but permanent solution. Hope it will help you.
I imagine this being effective for many kinds of minor verbal bullying, but it’s harder to brush off someone who’s physically threatening or harming you as a joke.
Stop you are going wrong way
Bullying is emotional weakness
Be strong enough to feel your own pain and you won't need to take it out on others

It's been 3 years and i just watched this short film with tears falling through my face. Such a good story:" I know how it feels to be difference, cuz i've a dark skin and got bullied bcs of it, But now I'm ok more than that I'm grateful. Also this story has a good meaning, good job! I will recommended this to all my friends:)
Never ceases to amaze me how cruel people (especially children!) can be with words. I see stuff like this and you know it happens all the time and I just think ‘I wish I could go to school and be friends with her’.

I absolutely loved this short film! I'm currently learning Chinese because I feel we, the human race, as a species are brutish to others due to a lack of effective communication. The short film truly captures the struggles of those different from ourselves and how if we were take the time to learn each others language we might be able to find a common ground in world where there is no gravity. A world where everyone around us prefers to leave those different than us grounded so the "normal people" may soar into a vast space of ignorance. Thank you so much for exploring this issue!

I think sign language is just so powerful... it holds so much emotion. We need more people like this young man who care enough about people to run up those stairs and up to that roof... even if she hadn't been up there, he needed to make sure. ❤

I just started my journey in film making this Jan of 2021. And this short film by far is the one that has inspired me the most. Its powerful without any fancy effects. Or any high budget staff/casting. Just a bunch of talented people that came together and made something so simple, that it goes to show you. THAT STORY will always be KING in any cinema. Congrats Toucha Her on this piece and to the casts and everyone involved. This was a great short.

I'm not deaf, and I know that this "normal" thing isn't normal for others. I've seen this film like two years ago for the first time. I started at university, learnt lot of new things, broadened my knowledge, improved my English, started learning Russian and, that's the most difficult "task" for me, started fighting depression which I've got from childhood abuse ("only" mostly mental, not sexual). I know I'm different than others, but I also know that I'm highly privileged. I can hear all these things which others can not. I know about sign language, that it exists, but I've never learnt anything more than that. I want to change this, so I want to learn sign language. And thinking back, I think, this film was the very first impulse for me.
Thanks for this short, but even more powerful film. I really love it, although it brings me close to tears every time.
