Really appreciated you posting this review. Had looked at some online, but it is too bewildering to narrow things down without seeing it in use and getting someone’s basic impressions on utility, views of scale, etc.

Looks like the lighting gives you quite a bit of depth of field. I have a scope for surface mount rework, cant get the imagery you're showing here. Thanks for the review and the variety of captured images.

Craig, your very welcome. I've been impressed so far by the microscope. Thanks for watching.

Nice unit Chris! I love that other guy's idea about hanging it up out the way under a shelf! Then the connectors would be on the bottom & not fill up with dust.
I wish they'd send ME a free one!
This would be great for working on SMD stuff too!
The hdmi output would be great to send to a large screen so multiple people could see, like for training & demonstrations etc.

Yes, it works well with SMD also and a big screen could be useful. I have some SMD boards around here but I showed what I work on the most in the video. I think if you are in the need to look at anything at a microscopic level and be able to save it this is a good unit.

What a snazzy device, Chris! I suspect that as time goes on, your future videos will be even more excellent.
They probably don't include micro-sd cards because everyone wants them with different capacities. They range in price from a few bucks to maybe $20.
AAA batteries run from a buck for decent quality throw-aways to a couple of bucks for rechargeables. Peoples preferences differ: we're strictly a rechargeables family, but I know lots of people who insist on throw-aways.
So, I see why they don't include either with the device.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, your right about the SD card and the batteries. I just wanted other folks to know those details if they purchased one after seeing those items in the video.

Very nice. A little pricey on Amazon yet IMO but the quality is clear. Look forward to some close up shots on the stereo repairs.

Thanks for commenting. it's not inexpensive but I think even if I had to pay full price it would be worth it to me. I screw around with enough equipment and videos that it will hopefully get some work.

Hello, when using the HDMI to a monitor, does the units screen remain in use or can you only use one of two at a time?
How is everything attached to the base plate? Would it be easy enough to attach everything to a different base plate?
I am weighing up between this and the Andonstar AD1605, which lacks the included screen and endoscope which I really like the look of.

Great review, Chris! I can imagine using this digital microscope for many of my hobbies including automobiles, vinyl records, and of course vintage/modern electronics. 👍
