As a British person, that's a cookie. If it has chocolate chips, a grainy texture and is round-ish it's a cookie. If it's precisely manufactured (logo, perhaps) THEN it becomes a biscuit. We use both, but they have different meanings here

Because in India, CBSE and ICSE boards teches British English to kids in schools,but through social media and Hollywood movies people are more exposed to American English. So, basically Indians mix up both. When I was learning Hindi, i also used to mix up Bihari and Haryanvi/Rajasthani words together and my Hindi speaker friends used to laugh a lot.😂
