Introduction to QUCS - A Circuit Simulation Software

- Welcome back dear students,
In this video I have discussed an open-source circuit simulation software, namely, QUCS. QUCS stands for Quite Universal Circuit Simulator developed under general public license. It can be used to simulate both DC and AC circuits, Digital circuits and RF/microwave circuits.
In this video, I have introduced the QUCS software and shown the simulation of simple DC circuit for DC analysis. In next video I am going to discuss one more DC circuit with dependent sources.
Use below commands to install QUCS-spice on Ubuntu and other Debian packages:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt install snapd
sudo snap install qucs-spice
To install on windows, watch the below video, where I have shown how to install QUCS on windows operating system.

I tried this recently but when I try to simulate it it shows that cannot open ngspice
The Coursera course I was following instructed to locate the ngspice in C:\SPICE folder. I did that but still the problem exists.

Hello I have created a project in Qucs containing transmission lines, but the things with Qucs-S it does not support the transmission lines (cox cable for exmple), do you have any idea how I can create a coax cable with Qucs_S??

No, I have not yet worked on transmission line experiments. If I come to know about the same, I'll let you know it.
how to share the entire project of qucs

I have used in windows 10 OS and intel i3 processor
I have even tried on windows 10. For windows 10, download the QUCS software from the link given below:

Now follow the steps:
1) Unzip the file in separate folder
2) locate qucs.bat file, double click on this to launch QUCS simlulator. No need of any installation.
dear admin, U have mentioned on thumbnail that QUCS supports also for MAC, where as in the video u informed that its available for windows and linux. But in the description u gave only for windows. I am using Mac OS, I haven't found any QUCS. but I've installed QUCS 0.0.19(2017 version), in that software whatever I try to simulate it always shows "error to simulate". OS version is macOS Big Sur 11.1
If possible plz help me. OR suggest me similar software to QUCS

Yes Pavan, as per the QUCS documentation it supports MAC OS also; but I have tested it only on Ubuntu and windows operating systems. You may refer the below link to install on MAC OS.

Follow the instructions to install, if you fail to do it, kindly let me know the same, so that I'll try it on MAC and tell you the procedure.
Even there is one more way of install QUCS on MAC i.e. using wine.

Which is different from intel Mac
I’ve tried to install that through WINE but no result.
Install QUCS using the below package, I successfully installed it on MAC:
