The dye they put in is to help keep the sun from hitting the bottom of the pond so any vegetation trying to grow dies from lack of sunlight. It works very well.
the blue dye is used quite frequently by pond keepers especially with a new pond it kills any parasites on newly introduced fish the dye will clear itself after a little while, it does not upset the fish.
I love all the water features your company has made! My screen can't do justice to the beautiful creations! I like it when you are able to sit on the stoop and put your feet into the water...twinkling lights at night seal the deal! Rock on!:-)!
Stephanie Ann- I like that blue too but instead of fucking with the water color they could have lined the bottom with that blue or lit it that color. It would look more natural & then you can add Coi Fish.
Like any bespoke construction project , you have a concept or how you want the end result to reflect that concept....and then you have to work in reverse to deliver what the client expects. Only the few that are smart enough and truly live and love their work can deliver.
When I was a kid my aunt would take us swimming to one of these. There was a fountain in the middle, trampolines, water slides, diving boards, a pier, and on the far end of the pond past the floater ropes, paddle boats. Also a floater to stand on in the middle.
Spectacular set up wow!!A small hint re pond and having lawn near by!!If you fertilise your lawn and mow it on a windy day,if any phosphates from fertilizing gets into the pond s water column, you can have the phosphate levels spike 100 fold over night!!Cheers
I'm living at my daughters house right now...why you ask ? Because I'm Poor, don't have enough money to get my own place...But eventually I will have enough !
Wow I thought I had that that would be awesome you don’t need to go nowhere to go swimming and have a good time you can invite friends and family over it is just awesome wow this is just stunning so gorgeous love it love it love it love it💙💙💙💙🦋🦋🦋🦋
I actually liked your posted not so much because of the pond even though it’s really nice I was drawn in by your happy/exciting/cute/beautiful etc energy and zest for life..u made me smile which I really needed today..thank u Sheila 👍🏼💜👍🏼
Okay so if you come outside one morning nd you see a tent on your property right by your pond/lake. That weirdo would happen to be me, bc I'm so moving in lmao
Shit fellea i use to get 50 k 20 years ago for a water feature that size. Steep up the price .sure would hate to have to bid against a price liike that today. People dont get it till ya explain all there is in getting large rock on a site and just how far it comes from. I had a load of spears sent from montana to oregon from pit to site we spent 35k just on bouldders alone.back in 05.
What’s with all the people asking why is it so blue, it’s a pretty common product you can get from every pet shop, the colour fades after a few weeks I think it’s for algae control
When I get my own home this is the exact thing I want, nice big water fall and a deep swimming hole. In due it will happen and I will be getting a Certified Aquascape Contractor to do it.
This one looks better than the one with green water in the pond, clearer cleaner water, looks great. I'm not sure I want to know how much it cost to create that set-up. It's just a shame there are way too many people on this planet, have we not done enough damage?.
Looks like Lake Pukaki or Tekapo...home owners just need to build some snow capped mountains in the background. Honestly I would swim in there everyday if that were in my backyard. Even in winter, I'd hit it!
Greg, what pump are they using for the waterfall system? I have an aerator for my pond but I can't seem to find a pump big enough for the waterfall. My pond is smaller than hers.
I would love to know where they get their stone from... ive been building a pond now for 2 summers now personally and have no clue here in central pa where to get stone from...
@@GregWittstockThePondGuy im actually taking your coarse... Thank you for alot of good pointers... I just like being a dyi guy myself... But I do appreciate all your knowledge your passing on...
one thing i noticed about this video, Greg is a touchy guy lol.
he likes to pass on his demons to other ppl lol.
CommunityNirvana I just wanna see the pond! Not his creepy looking ass touch everyone and try and be the center of attention.
@@bendavid4596 lol damn some strong animosity there

MrIvanbeats stfu
@ Carson dude What's your problem?
Not always
Nooo... Didn't you hear?.... money does not buy happiness.... Cough(bullshit)....
"Nobody has ever said I don't like it or why did you get it" I love seeing pond owners super happy with their paradise.
I dont know about the "loo blue" effect in the second pond/lake ...I think the water would have looked much better natural
I think they went a little heavy on the dye. I would say that if there is a sweet spot when it comes to dye. .. they missed it.
lol
I think the pond was dirty and green and they didnt have time to clean/fix so they decided to dye it.
I go to a bunch of ponds like this that farmers have made near me, and man is it a vibe tho having that really blue water
Welll said man
The dye they put in is to help keep the sun from hitting the bottom of the pond so any vegetation trying to grow dies from lack of sunlight. It works very well.
That Rec pond is crazy!! Great to see the first segment to see how far these guys have come over 6 years - Awesome work
The water features are so beautiful! Love the one with all the different tiers and pools, so nice!
Weston from Tussey is a genius when it comes to putting things together like this!!
It is nice to see a smaller pond rather than the HUGE things most people could never hope to own.
Greg if you ever need a break , i'll travel the world for you videoing these man made gems.
Oh my goodness! Wow they just get better all the time!
the blue dye is used quite frequently by pond keepers especially with a new pond it kills any parasites on newly introduced fish the dye will clear itself after a little while, it does not upset the fish.
It also prevents light getting to the pond which prevents algae
What is this blue dye called?

I must be the only one who likes the blue water. Reminds me of the Caribbean.
Clay bottom? No liner ? That is awesome . Those liners are so expensive.
@@thegodofmusic1264 Are you responding to me?
Stephanie Ann- I like that blue too but instead of fucking with the water color they could have lined the bottom with that blue or lit it that color. It would look more natural & then you can add Coi Fish.
Tussey vlogs have been the best so far, mostly because they have their own construction footage to splice in. Good job guys!
Like any bespoke construction project , you have a concept or how you want the end result to reflect that concept....and then you have to work in reverse to deliver what the client expects. Only the few that are smart enough and truly live and love their work can deliver.
So this is where Gatorade comes from!
Yeah the birth place of gatorade😂😂😂
Only blue, yellow comes from urinals
Blue die does not look fun to swim
In.
How beautiful and so calming! I’d rather have this then a big pond or a pool any day!!!! So wonderful and in a way spiritual!!!!
When I was a kid my aunt would take us swimming to one of these. There was a fountain in the middle, trampolines, water slides, diving boards, a pier, and on the far end of the pond past the floater ropes, paddle boats. Also a floater to stand on in the middle.

Do you get issues with snakes on these natural pools?
I think Tussey might be the most talented artists you've shown yet
Oh wow in the waterfall the blue one is gorgeous gorgeous I would love to swim in that so gorgeous that is a paradise💙💙💙💙💙
I need to step my game up ,its sucks being poor

Ray Kemry thanks! I was wondering about that 😊
In the Canadian Rocky Mountains I’ve seen lakes naturally that colour. It comes from what they call rock flour.
I freakin love the big pond it’s paradise for sure
Unbelievable! Soooo Amazing! I want!!

Hey Greg,
I see you let your inner child came out to play :-)
Kim from New Zealand
How could it not in a swim pond like that!?
Wow, loving the ponds in this video. :)
I have a question! Can you ice skate on the pond during the winter without damaging anything?
VERY NICE
hi, whats the Lenght and widght of this Pond? this is awesome !
Jackpot 🥳😎
Wow another amazing place.
How did they manage to have that blue water when the bottom is actually clay? Beautiful.
Because they dye the water blue. And it looks incredibly fake when you see it done in person.
We use black dye. It looks natural, is reflective, and makes it appear deep.
Not sure if I'd turn up drinking coffee; did you bring one for the homeowner?
I start up a landscaping business a cope years a go highly interested in doing the course getting into pounds as part of it very inspiring videos sir
