Thanks Simon. Sorry for the late resopnse. Just learning how all this social media/online stuff works. Ha. Have a great day. Thanks for the encouragement. - Josh W.
great way to play this song, ill try it this sunday, curious though i didn't have anything in the music about the bridge you did, but it really helped the song a smidge thanks
David! Thanks man. DGentiles did an amazing job in revamping this hymn for sure. If you haven't grabbed the full album for free at NoiseTrade just do that and let me know what you think. The whole project is designed to bring awareness of our adoption story. We'd appreciate your prayers. Have a great day! noisetrade.com/hymnsforselena/hymns-for-selena
Hey Cal. Really glad you enjoyed our take on with this hymn. From what I know about the hymn there are actually two verses after verse 4 that we didn't use. The hymn is so rich and good we did hate to leave anything out but adding those two verses would have extended the song and made it too long. Especially since David wrote a new chorus that goes with it, that kind of allows for this moment of celebration in what Christ has done. As a writer and music producer it is hard to decide what to leave and what to cut but we just try to do our best and see if that connects with others. Have a great day Cal. And if you haven't downloaded the album, you can do that at NoiseTrade. It's a free download. I'd love to give that to you.
Josh Walker Hey Josh, thank you for the info on the album, that is very kind of you... That's great that it is available in that way, and also with the option of promoting and tipping which is good. I got the album now, so thank you very much. I have to say though, I really do like this acoustic version. I realised after looking into it that there were two more verses, not just one. I have heard a few versions stop at four, but I guess because the first version I heard was the Enfield one, I really grew attached to verse 5, haha (although they miss out 2, 4 & 6). I just love the thought that in resurrection our song will be a nobler and sweeter one, it fills me with hope. I just like that verse because it takes it past death. Anyway, I understand the dilemma and thought you guys done a great job. I enjoyed the new chorus, and if you ever decided to do an extended version, even if it's only me, I'd buy it. Thanks again Josh, and I hope you are having a great day also!
God bless everyone
