I'm biased but it a great opportunity for any coach who has something to prove. Jacksonville has a QB, very talented team and a weak division. Idk why anyone would turn down this job
Jaguar head coaching job is the best because of immediate success. Trevor is on the cusp of being Rodgers 2.0. The wr corp is talented. Just couple of quality additions to the interior o line to help the run game, add a elite pass rusher (draft abdul carter) to go with travon and JHA41, and add quality DBs.
Did you hear anything about what former jags oline Greg Huntington telling Mark Brunell to tell Ben Johnson go after the jaguars coaching job if it becomes available. Check out rocked on Detroit lions. Tea leaves right there
I want Ben Johnson, but I think we end up with Liam Coen. I think Johnson says he wants his own GM whilst Coen doesn’t, and that’s the deciding factor. I would take Coen, but I’m desperate to be rid of Baalke!
@ I get it. I want an OC for HC though. I believe in Trevor but he needs a decent OC/HC with a decent scheme but more importantly continuity. Thats why I’d lean Johnson or Coen. I don’t think anyone knows who Glenn would bring in so without knowing that he drops down my list. But would definitely be a culture raiser. (I also think Glenn is a shoe in for the Jets or possibly Saints)
Idk if New England is better opportunity simply because they just hired a coach then fired him after 1 season. And Shad Khan has shown that he's willing to stick with someone thru thick n thin. Better job security
Vrabel will not get tossed aside as fast as Mayo did. The chain of events from Mayo's release to Vrabel's hiring is a bad look on the Patriots organization. But because they're the Patriots, most people won't care a week from now. That's why Aaron Glenn declined their interview request; he knew they would just be wasting his time.
its the division difference mainly Chicago will be a harder fight to win theirs, Jags could do a 180 and be back on top next season a little easier depending of course.
@@Jimamania I get that but I dont think coaches think that way. I think they are wired to think they can win in any situation. You could just as easily say to win in the AFC is much harder than the NFC since the 4 best QBs in the NFL are all in the AFC. So short term of winning a division sure, but to win a championship is much harder in the AFC
Honestly the Baalke situation doesn't worry me that much. We have a good roster and some fairly straightforward draft picks so probably even Baalke cant fuck that up, so winning the division or getting a wild card spot is not that hard for whoever comes in. And hopefully that will buy some legitemacy for the new HC to get Shad to get rid of Baalke as the GM.
So you mean to tell me that a organization who will put EVERYTHING on the HC & a Owner that does not hold his GM accountable for anything, is the best job? 😂😂
Only reason there is to doubt the Jags job is Shad keeping Baalke around.
I think he’ll kick him for the right guy
@@RandyHarrison-u8y sadly I dont think he will but we can hope still
We should of never got rid of Darius Williams
Ben Johnson 🙏 Dude #FireBakkle Go Jags Duuuval.

Yes and I’m tired of people saying otherwise

I don't want Coen...dude drafting off Baker Mayfield finally figuring it out...Coen is not ready to be a HC
I'd rather Aaron Glenn over Coen
@@Jimamania me too...I dont think Coen has done enough to be HC just yet

He didn’t build a playoff caliber team this team has holes everywhere
but not completely abysmal
I disagree this not a playoff caliber roster

I love my Jaguars no doubt but I dont think we are a better spot than Chicago. They have a much cheaper QB and that makes such a big difference

Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson both declined the interview with New England, so it can't be too good an opening.
Because they knew it was vrables job
They only did that bc it was known Vrabel was going there

Draft Ashton jeanty
100%, not only do you not get a meddling owner, you get one who barely cares as long as fans are in the stands
higher ceiling than trevor? nahhhh

I definitely don't think Drake Maye will be nowhere near Trevor Lawrence level
It’s not better than the Bears job bears are better at a multiple more position than the jags including QB
