Oh my god, that 'footrest' at 4.23 is actually a saddle for camel riding, pretty old, but couldn't date it, my grandad had one all my mum's life and she is 74 so pretty old.. Amazing as I wanted to keep it but it got thrown out when my mum moved! So pleased to see it again. Lol.
Thanks for sharing this, Riddim. As a vinyl record collector, I always always get thrilled when you get to the part where you find vinyl records left in the house!! From what I saw in their collection, I can tell they loved Soul and Disco music… And judging from their ‘70s style, they probably used to listen to Bee Gees, Carpenters, Village People, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, and maybe a Swedish pop group ABBA…. 😁😁😁 P.s. Amazing work. Thanks again for sharing this incredible explore, Riddim!
The stove does have the oven on top so you were right and the 4 burner pulls out and pushes back in when not in use. The whole thing is made to sit on the counter. I know cause I owned one! This house goes on forever! I think it would be easy to get lost very quickly in the basement! Thanks again Riddim for a great video!
Thank you for sharing this video. It's so sad to see family photos just left behind. You would the family would gone thru the home. Absolutely amazing find on the unique house and interesting train town. Please Stay Safe ❤🌹
Riddim Ryder, you know this is gonna be added to my favorites playlist for the time capsule houses. And as you know I love everything left behind.Cant wait till next week when I can order more 70-90s stuff for my collection 😊
I think the butterflies pinned to the Mural are cool.. stone fireplace is nice. Place looked like late 60s or early 70s.. wonder where they went.. did you check history of house? Double oven stove.. it appears they liked to party by the decorating of the basement.. the train set at one time was pretty darn cool..
I've seen this house once before on another channel. IIRC, it belonged to a high school teacher and when he died, the wife--who was from some other country--just split and left it like this. The train set-up is supposed to be some place in Switzerland, I think. Again, IIRC, and if the other vid was accurate.
Ha, I built that ship model on the train set when I was a kid! It's the USS Constitution. Sobering to see someone's life and hobbies slowly go back to dust.
This sure was a huge house I was lost🤔 I imagine how beautiful that train much of been when it was working. Wow this exploring was amazing, love it💕👍🏻👏🏼👍🏻👏🏼
i'm gonna watch the whole thing over and try to keep my bearings this time. there was a ton of stuff in this one that took me back to the neighborhood i grew up in.
Love your videos - but i'm always waiting for you to find something related to the date - calendar, expiry date -- i'm always wondering how long the houses have been abandoned for.
As a model railroader myself, it's sad to see this. I have a few layouts I've built, I would be sad to see mine abandoned. They should've sold that layout.
Hey bud. I've seen all of your videos. Please let me know if you are ever exploring the Ottawa or surrounding area. I would love to join/meet you. I am bigtime into the time capsule finds
Eww Butterflies 🦋 on the wall. I saw this before when it was in good condition. Everything was intact. Tiki bar was all there. The train cars were there too. Every time you say ancient, I lol, because I had a radio, cassette player etc😂😂
It was definitely abandoned in early 90s. I often do check labels etc but knew going in here it had been abandoned a long time so didn't bother. Will definitely be sure to show that going forward despite prior knowledge! Cheers!!
Judging from the items in the house, I see nothing from the 1990’s or newer. I bet it’s been abandoned since 1990. The pictures were all 1970s. Think about it, pictures get updated. Too bad he didn’t check food or prescription expiration dates.
Everything about the house looked amazing but more in a cluttered and bizarre kind of way. Even, the colorful and different pattern wallpaper pasted side by side on the wall did not compliment each other. Most of the décor in the house was like it was hand crafted by the owner himself, like the medieval knight standing guard at the corner of the room. Clothing after clothing could still be seen hanging in the closets. The closets were filled to the brim with clothing. Practically all the family's belonging seemed to have been left behind. What happened? Where did they go? Why would everything even those items still in good condition were abandoned, including the family photos? Tragedy befallen the family? I guess we'll never know would we? Thanks Riddim Ryder.
Idk this one gives off dark vibes for me. Like I feel this was a young husband and wife from back in the 70s/80s where the wife may have died from cancer (hence the wigs) and the husband fell into a deep depression (hence the wedding pictures out) and then committed suicide. I hope that’s not the case, but I fear it is.
@@RiddimRyder luv u and Zay's posts. I look forward to them always. Luv tha Pup too. Now you be careful on that 4wheeler, lol. No Dude, have loads of fun. Bet you guys have a lot of amazing places to go on that in Canada. I want to take a trip one day to see that gorgeous country.
This place is pure 80s and 90s; absolutely nothing is modern. Looks like it's been abandoned for about 30 plus years. Good find but try to find out history about it like calendars and things
For sure abandoned 20 years but. Could easily be as long as you say. So much old items! The husband passed so the wife up and left back to Europe where they originally came from.
I have a feeling that it was not an elderly person that lived there, but a young person that passed early. It seems pretty tacky now but I'm sure the appliances and decor were the height of "way cool" in their time. Definitely seems like whoever lived here had a rich and full life with love, travel, and style. I mean let's be honest, the wigs and the shag carpet wall? Dude was probably like a sex god in his time.

You know your crib is 11 out of 10 when you have to vacuum the wall. ;)
Bahahahaha amazing!!!
Interesting house very artistic, higgle dee piggledi with some nice art. Love that stone wall with shelves probably a water feature.
Your energy is so much fun. Truly enjoy your videos.
Its awesome when you find abandoned without graffiti and time capsules are my favorite. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
Always a pleasure to share!!!
What a lovely sad house the train room would have been someone’s pride and joy just left to rot what a shame fantastic video

The things thrown around for people looking for cash be my guess. People of that era kept cash hidden in the house.

Wow what a great find.

very cool house and this one does take you back in time

It's always interesting but yes...sad someone's home is just left

With a small camera that trains area could be apocalyptic or after the earthquake
