    Very interesting subject, I will do my master thesis in the subject and was wondering what kind of sources did you used? You mentioned some associations but do you have any recommended literature on the subject? I’m a fan of your content, keep up the good work

    Hello, can you do a video on your workspace and tools/materials you use? That would be great!!!

      +KrasTa Absolutely...it's in the works! My new studio space is currently under construction, once it's done I'll be recording my tools, space and processes. Stay tune, in the meantime, be sure to check out: th-cam.com/play/PLuJj3iQpiK3v1BIYRC1kNue7s6SSdrdXd.html

    Do you think advanced framing techniques compromise structure strength and stability? I understand trying to achieve a more efficient and greener structure but at the cost of it being an overall weaker building?

    @4:40(ish) '...but if you focus on the overall structural dimensions and correlate those to a TWENTY-FOUR INCH module, you will maximize framing efficiencies and minimize material cutoff waste." Said the guy from THIRTY by FOURTY Design Studio :]
    I just thought it was funny. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!

      30'x40' (English barn dimensions) is divisible by 2'...

      30X40 Design Workshop you're absolutely right! And this is what happens when you make comments after thinking in inches units for too long in a single day leading up to a conversation like this!
      Regardless, great content.

    Hi,
    My question is : aren't jack studs for more framing support?

    • @CaseyDesignBuild
      @CaseyDesignBuild 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      supposed to be for header supports. im not sure why you would want to remove it if its helping carry the load that passes through the header

    Most building permits require a structural engineer to sign off. I doubt most structural engineers would accept the "advanced" framing techniques.

    Would you make non us-centric videos? I would be interested to see that kind of video based on constructions principles more common in Europe for example…
