Macris Carneiro - ONE HANDED Volleyball SETS | Women's VNL 2019

Macris Carneiro (born 3 March 1989 Santo André) is a Brazilian volleyball player.
In 2015, she made her debut in the Brazilian national team, winning the silver medal at the XVII Pan American Games. She won the gold medal at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. She participated at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League.
Carneiro made her debut in the 2007-08 season in the Brazilian Superliga. In the 2009-10 season she played for São Bernardo, In 2011-12, she returned to São Caetano. In 2012-13, she played for Pinheiros in San Paolo. In 2013-14 she was awarded as the best setter of the Brazilian Superliga Série A. In 2014, she won the San Paolo Cup and the 2015 Brazil Cup. In the 2015-16 she played for Brasília. In 2017-18, she played for Minas.

Macris is a very aggressive setter, and an expert in these visually stunning one-handed sets. She is also an expert in fooling blockers (and the viewers sometimes, too).
One of the most underrated setter!

Gênia nos levantamentos mas muito pipoqueira em finais. Até no sul americano, ela deu uma pipocada, e precisou Roberta entrar pra levarmos o título, porque senão era 3 a 0 seco pra Colômbia. Se ela melhorar o seu emocional em final eu digo concerteza que é a melhor levantadora do mundo. Por enquanto ainda não é, mas quem sabe um dia não chega lá.

She is good but quite late to be first setter Unless she is relevant and fit enough like Maja.
She was ignored for a long time by the brazilian coach, even though she was the best setter for 5 consecutive years in the league of Brazil. She's really amazing and, for me, the third best setter in the world today. Also, she's vegan, so I think she'll play for some time yet.
