Alu wadi is not a preparation made of Alu, as you said Potato out here. In Marathi 'Alu' refers to Colocasia leaves , and wadi means a roll.The Colocasia leaves are cleaned , washed , layered with different spice mixed masala and then made up as a roll. It is steamed and cut into pin wheels to be shallow fried. A famous dish in Maharahtra and Gujarat.Avoid spreading incorrect knowledge if you have no idea about the delicacy.
