  • This is the first a video series about the build of a vintage basic trainer of the 70's, with traditional materials (balsa & plywood). The japanese company that build these kits was called "OK Model Pilot", and it is not related to the current Pilot brand. It was very popular in those years, and every now and then, some unbuilt kit surfaces. However, this model is build from scratch, and plans are available in the link below.
    The model is for .10 Glow engine (an O.S. 10 FSR in this case), and it's for 3 channel radio (no ailerons), and I kept it that way.

    Hi! This is virtually identical to my first R/C trainer. That d tube wing with cap strips makes for a very strong, light structure.
