And it needs to sell quite a lot of copies to become financially viable. The 250 kickstarter copies were barely enough to break even and already buried me under loads of work that I only managed with the help of family so I'd much prefer another solution.

Merch would be great, love to support a channel that way, prefer subtler stuff personally at least if it's clothing. Hey man, take sponsors, it's all good. If I had any advice to give, don't take sponsors for supplements or anything trying to be financial advice. The last thing you want is for someone to get sick or lose a bunch of money because of someone who sponsored you.
I have personally watched every single lore video, the voice actor and the battle animations definitely kept me up, but what will surely bring people and more views is another video like the Horus Heresy, same length and same style of editing but on Siege of Terra and what exactly happened after Drop Site Massacre. thank you for bringing us so much entertainment.

Another good idea since you mentioned branching out past Warhammer is doing stuff like Trench Crusade. It's been gaining some pretty decent traction in my eyes and it's not too different from Warhammer.

Whatever you need to do man. The time and effort and passion you put into these animations really reflects. A few ads are nothing we can't handle, especially with a kid on the way! your content might just be peak warhammer lore animation. Your work is amazing, and it is what got me into warhammer in the first place!

Another thing to maybe keep an eye on is trench crusade. If you like the ww1 motif of the Kriegers, then you might find it interesting. Think they've also got some lore books coming out soon too.

I think a more terrain intense version/add ons would be amazing. Have higher planes for a more realistic wargame, though I can see how this would be hard; adding new mechanics like chance to hit on higher or lower elevations. Also Im glad your family is expanding! So many TH-camrs I watch are growing their family as well and it's both sad and amazing all at once.

A suggestion I have is to try to see if there's an A.I. tool that could help you speed up the video making process without losing quality, either by helping you write the script or create images or other tasks.
Whilst i do understand the desire to offer helpful advice, AI tools are generally rather low quality, and for someone whos as dedicated to making high quality stuff as janovich they can end up just slowing him down, as hed have to make the AI do a thing, see all the flaws in it, and then fix all the flaws, which often isn't very helpful. Even for script writing, just putting in all the lore you wantthe script to include takes more time than writing the script yourself. AI can be good for suggesting grammar and sentence structure changes, but also Microsoft word has had those functionalities for years, so i doubt a different tool would speed things up either.
Thanks. I've looked into AI but overal its been quite shit. Even generating ambient background music has been completely useless and I'm much better of using either copyright free stuff or with the stuff I commissioned from the Composer which is both faster and better. The only usecase I've found thats somewhat helpful is ChatGPT being able to fix some of my sentence structures and grammar, but I already have the voice actor looking over my scripts so why bother. Overal I seem to notice a trend of decline in quality for new (lore) videos on youtube since the introduction of AI tools. Either its full of misinformation or really bland and adds nothing to the already existing video archives. I avoid any AI voiced videos on any topic like the plague now because they're usually an immediate giveaway of low quality. I've only rarely seen AI images being put to good use either.

I have no problem with you using related sponsorships. I'd suggest looking into gaining a sponsorship from some of the 40k/war game miniature printers, miniature painters, custom miniature painters, high quality miniature painting suppliers, maybe a cosplay supply company, and perhaps your own ads for the 3D modeled items you've made. You might even consider making a small course for how you got about modeling your 40k units, ships, vehicles, etc, and put that up on a learning course website. Udamy comes to mind as such a website.
