    Hey dude you earned a sub. I've been hearing great things about Siemitsu levers, especially ls-40.
    But then i realized it's extremely rare and hard to get with the old Panasonic switches FML.
    Thank you for this DIY solution, I'll try something like this 😀👌

    Hi all, I know this video is 3 years old but hoping I can get some info. I got some panasonic am5 switches in a hori rap pro se ex that came with a ls-32. Is it worth doing this mod for am51662c5n variant as I know not all am5 are the same quality? Cheers Robi

      Only if you want a stronger spring and and more clicky feel for the switch. Personally I would because I like stronger and more clicky switches but everyone’s preferences are different.

      @mr.arcadefox8782 Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a crack since I have a set of the other switches. I had remove a crap load of solder and hotglue from the old am5's, so worth opening them up make sure they are okay and do the mod while I'm at it. Why they used so.much solder and hotglue is beyond me ;) Cheers Robi

      Try checking in some Fightstick discords. They have buy and sell areas you can connect with people that might have them.

    Hey Fox, I've also read about Short Hinge A5s. Do you know what pair of switches I need for it? Thanks

    How valuable are these blood diamond switches?

    • @mr.arcadefox8782
      @mr.arcadefox8782  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve seen genuine Blood Diamond switches sell for $50 a switch NEW on the second hand market. Used for $25 to $30 a switch.

      @@mr.arcadefox8782 I've recently found that the Hori EX2 and the Tekken 6 Hori Wireless Fightstick both use AM51630's in the lever. I took apart the levers and now I have a few pairs.

    Can you use the longer hinge from the A3? Wouldn't it feel different using the shorter hinge/activator on the A5? Great video!

    • @mr.arcadefox8782
      @mr.arcadefox8782  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main dilemma you run across is Panasonic Switches levers are shaped differently than a Gersung switch. The lever slot is way further back. You wouldn’t be able to use the Gersung long lever cause it would be too short and could cause activation issues if used in a stick that needed a long lever switch. However if you had broken blood Diamond switches you could take the long lever from there and use it on the new switch.

      @@mr.arcadefox8782 Thanks for the reply! Bit of shame then but I guess that would have been too easy. Might still give this mod try and see how the smaller levers feel

      @@mr.arcadefox8782 I was able to do this mod yesterday thanks to your video. I got a slightly different model AM5s with the normal size switch levers for Korean levers. I'm so happy with them as they feel far more satisfying to click and activate than just the normal A3 switches.
      Thank you again for your guide ❤️

    Would you say this is a good switch mod for a JLF + Shuriken V2?

    • @mr.arcadefox8782
      @mr.arcadefox8782  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Removing the hinge and using it as just the switch I think it would feel amazing honestly. I’ve not tried it in a JLF or JLX but I can only imagine it feeling great!

      @@mr.arcadefox8782So, tried the Gesungs without the hinge, they were a bit to heavy at 180g. With this mod, I’ve learned that I’m an enjoyer of lighter switches.

    • @mr.arcadefox8782
      @mr.arcadefox8782  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you 🤗 Hypothetically yes… HOWEVER… you would need long Panasonic AM5 hinges because any other long hinge is not compatible. Could be an alternative to dead standard blood diamond switches to swap the long hinge.
