Holy ****, I just spent 3 days fiddling with BIOS, Linux, drive restores, drivers, etc. because I could not get the internal SSDs to show for the life of me. Disabling VMD just magically made it work. Thank you!!!

One guy had people “clean” disk 0 which erases the windows file. Which had me stuck in bios until I re downloaded windows on a new usb because it corrupted it.

This video saved the day. After eight hours of trying to find my SSD for the install, all I needed to do was disable the VMD in the BIOS. My only wish was that you had led with that. A small complaint that is greatly outweighed by this video saving the day. Thank you!

I can't thank you enough it's currently 6 am, I've been up all night because windows wanted me to update my bios, which rolled it back 1 year so I lost 2 partitions and I couldn't boot or do anything, this is the only video I found that actually worked, u just saved me 150 dollars, couldnt me more thankful for this video

Thank you, SO MUCH! I just finished my build, and I was going nuts because I couldn't install Windows, since it couldn't see my 4Tb M2 SSD. Now it's up and running! Regarding the issue with the CPU fan, the BIOS said the customer had an AIO pump installed, instead of a fan, so they really just need to ignore that warning, because they used the AIO plug-in instead of the CPU fan plug-in.

Holy shit dude, you're the G. I really messed up my laptop the other day and needed to completely reinstall as the drive was completely missing. All the other tutorials didn't help at all since the storage adapter didn't solve anything! Turning off VMD fixed it 100%. I would have never figured this out

Hey, good video, straight to the point! I installed yesterday a windows on a Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop, which has the SSD on a NVMe, the Bios was very limited it didn't let me disable the VMD driver, so I had to try all the RTS drivers I could find, finally only one did the job, but it still didn't show up initially, I had to force it to install the driver even if it said it was not compatible, but it did the job and finally the SSD drive showed up on the list! It was the version RTS 18.1 version that worked! Have a nice day!

insanely effective! Disabling the VMD setting just made my original win10 from my SSD start up perfectly in the new mainboard ! No reinstall necessary, great help m8 ❤

Dude you saved my job. Literally. Had a client want 2 laptops imaged from old drive. Laptop came with intel 670p SSD. WHICH INTEL DOSEN'T OWN ANYMORE?? Anyway, I turned off vmd and BOOM, laptop actually booted imaged HD. 5 stars. You the man.

Just picked up a 2TB Samsung 990 M.2 and it wasn't showing up in the windows installer. Disabled VMD and puff it showed up. Thank you for making this video!

I can't thank you enough it's currently 6 am, I've been up all night because windows wanted me to update my bios, which rolled it back 1 year so I lost 2 partitions and I couldn't boot or do anything, this is the only video I found that actually worked, u just saved me 150 dollars, couldnt me more thankful for this video

Regarding the issue with the CPU fan, the BIOS said the customer had an AIO pump installed, instead of a fan, so they really just need to ignore that warning, because they used the AIO plug-in instead of the CPU fan plug-in.

Holy shit dude, you're the G. I really messed up my laptop the other day and needed to completely reinstall as the drive was completely missing. All the other tutorials didn't help at all since the storage adapter didn't solve anything! Turning off VMD fixed it 100%. I would have never figured this out

Hey, good video, straight to the point! I installed yesterday a windows on a Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop, which has the SSD on a NVMe, the Bios was very limited it didn't let me disable the VMD driver, so I had to try all the RTS drivers I could find, finally only one did the job, but it still didn't show up initially, I had to force it to install the driver even if it said it was not compatible, but it did the job and finally the SSD drive showed up on the list! It was the version RTS 18.1 version that worked! Have a nice day!

Dude you saved my job. Literally. Had a client want 2 laptops imaged from old drive. Laptop came with intel 670p SSD. WHICH INTEL DOSEN'T OWN ANYMORE?? Anyway, I turned off vmd and BOOM, laptop actually booted imaged HD. 5 stars. You the man.
