I can't keep up with the names cuz I'm kind of new here but I for sure would love to sit down with the guy who has the white beard and tells a lot of anecdotes. It wouldn't just be the culture I would want to learn about but the universal wisdom that I see him giving in every video practically. As an Indian, I can say there are many English speaking folks in India who don't consume Western Music at all. Even if they do it's usually the very recent, popular ones that are famous all over the world. I introduced my wife to classic rock. This is one of her favorite songs. I introduced her to this song but now she made it her own. It was a fun journey for me.

We are surrounded by so much music it can be easy to forget the meanings of each piece amid the cacophony, but this was a good choice in keeping with the theme of life and death you've been hitting on lately. Another fabulous song by Chris Cornell about death is Say Hello To Heaven from his Temple of the Dog album and this would show off Chris as a younger man and more of his range as a vocalist. And of course I come back to Queen too, because Freddie Mercury died so tragically, but it was a terminal disease, not anything self-inflicted that ended him. The song These Are The Days Of Our Lives," was written as a goodbye and thank you to Freddie's fans as he knew he had not long left to live. Show Must Go On is another like it, released after his death, from the same album.

Chris Cornell is tied for my favorite singer ever (tied with Layne Staley from Alive in Chains). It makes my heart so happy to see you get to appreciate him and his work. He lives on and will continue to. Chris was the lead singer of multiple extremely famous bands, the latest of which was Audioslave. Temple of the Dog and Soundgarten were his two other HUGE bands. I’m sure you’ve unknowingly heard these bands before. Chris could convey his emotion, especially pain, in an unparalleled way. He was a true genius. You should listen to Chris sing the song he wrote for a former band mate who passed years before his own death. The song is called Say Hello 2 Heaven and Chris’s band he performed it with was Temple of the Dog. I highly suggest it. That and Alice In Chains song Nutshell (that’s my other favorite singer Layne Staley, who also sadly passed away far too young). The reaction at the end is exactly how I feel knowing we have lost such greatness, such humanity in the deaths of these young artists. They are so far from alone. Love from Ohio. 💜

There is a song by Evanescence called "Like You" that I recently heard again today that is very much like the topic of this video. It's more about wanting to be with the one that has passed away. When people you love die, some of us long to be with that person in the afterlife. They are empty inside without them here and despite so many people around, they feel completely alone. Mental health is so difficult to navigate through and some people just cannot get through another day. I've been there many times in my life. Artists tend to feel more intensely about things because they are tapping into emotions that many are too uncomfortable with to handle let alone talk about. That's why we still miss Chester, Chris and Kurt and so many others; but the legacy they left us with helps to keep the memories of them alive. 😎👍

It’s interesting to see them discovering the song with the videos and how that impacts the songs meaning. For me, the songs were always just the sounds so it’s changing some of my perspectives on the songs meanings as well. It was so fascinating to watch the reaction to Chris Cornell's voice. I could see in them (especially Mr. Bughio) the same nearly visceral reaction myself and countless others have had to his voice - and that feeling never diminishes. Even after 30 years. Before even translating the lyrics you can see its effect. Not sure if it’s the same in Pakistan, but here every hotel room has a Bible in it. I often wonder if band members read the Bible for that reason. They play shows until late at night, and can’t just fall asleep when they get back to their hotel rooms. Maybe a lot of Bible reading takes place under these circumstances . It’s sort of unusual to see Bibles so regularly. Most homes don’t have Bibles in sight. If families have one, it’s usually tucked away somewhere , out of sight. This is just from my own experience . It always amazes me when I see young people like this, speak on, reflect on life and death, at such young ages, once more that they experience or witness such dire situations,.as a group, all of us, would so not want someone so young to go through hardships, and horror, at such young ages, not be exposed to such things, and all we can do is pass our knowledge onto them, as perhaps as an inoculation to prepare them for something that may come later in life,..when I was a kid, during the 1960's, my parents tried to shield me, all the while, still educating me, on the perils of life, don't talk to strangers, be aware of your surroundings,..but because of tv, for kids now, it's the internet, but for my generation it was tv, Walter Cronkite, Mike Wallace, on the news every day, reporting live from, and on the Vietnam War,..I saw the violence, and the worry and grief from my mom, for my dad, and I was too young at that time to understand, but I was still exposed, and didn't decipher it all until later, as a young adult,..there is a group, I know so many for you to get to, if you haven't, do check out Pink Floyd,..a song, well the album, Dark Side Of The Moon, is a revelation, about life, youth, and death,..Time, is one of the songs, and as I was at the time, and even more so now that I'm old, you may be amazed at how young these young men were when they made this masterpiece,.. , do keep going, your videos are just wonderful,.. Chris Cornell was one of the most important artists in my life. Grunge music hit it big right as I was in my early teens, so you're just finding yourself, discovering who you are. Kurt, Chris, Scott, Layne, all those guys helped shape my tastes in music (and style, everybody wore flannel back then). Now they're all gone except for Eddie Vedder. 30 years next year since Kurt's passing. I was working at a pizza joint when I heard it on the radio. We all just sort of stood there, not really understanding. There's a line from Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. "Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts." Yeah, they did. They really did. Does it happen to everyone? Do we all reach a point where we just want to go back in time? To those days where we felt comfortable and we understood our world, even if those times weren't the best? Just back to when everything we cherished was still there and alive? I never thought I'd be like that. Yet, here we are. RIP Chris. Hope you've found the peace you never could in life.

Once again I am very impressed by your decision to discuss the deeper meanings and topics of the songs you react to. I've loved both Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine (RATM is the same band but with a different singer) since I was a teenager. They were both very formative part of shaping my worldview. If you decide to do orchestral songs again in the future I would love to see you do a reaction to "Answers". It is an orchestral piece with lyrics in english that was composed by a Japanese studio. It was created for inclusion in a videogame called Final Fantasy but the piece is beautiful on its own. It also has an accompanying cinematic called "End of an Era" which you can choose to either show or not show with the song.
Hunger Strike please, by Temple of The Dog. It was a "super group" created by Chris Cornell as a tribute to his friend, Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone. The song Hunger Strike also includes is Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, whose Performance of the song Black from MTV's Unplugged is amazing. If you swing back around to Cornell, Nothing Compares 2 U is an amazing cover and also would open the door for some Prince.

Fantastic as always. Their insights are sometimes so different from my own, and really profound in their own way, that it makes me appreciate how universal music is even if we don't speak the same language.
Chris Cornell is tied for my favorite singer ever (tied with Layne Staley from Alive in Chains). It makes my heart so happy to see you get to appreciate him and his work. He lives on and will continue to. Chris was the lead singer of multiple extremely famous bands, the latest of which was Audioslave. Temple of the Dog and Soundgarten were his two other HUGE bands. I’m sure you’ve unknowingly heard these bands before. Chris could convey his emotion, especially pain, in an unparalleled way. He was a true genius. You should listen to Chris sing the song he wrote for a former band mate who passed years before his own death. The song is called Say Hello 2 Heaven and Chris’s band he performed it with was Temple of the Dog. I highly suggest it. That and Alice In Chains song Nutshell (that’s my other favorite singer Layne Staley, who also sadly passed away far too young). The reaction at the end is exactly how I feel knowing we have lost such greatness, such humanity in the deaths of these young artists. They are so far from alone. Love from Ohio. 💜

There is a song by Evanescence called "Like You" that I recently heard again today that is very much like the topic of this video. It's more about wanting to be with the one that has passed away. When people you love die, some of us long to be with that person in the afterlife. They are empty inside without them here and despite so many people around, they feel completely alone. Mental health is so difficult to navigate through and some people just cannot get through another day. I've been there many times in my life. Artists tend to feel more intensely about things because they are tapping into emotions that many are too uncomfortable with to handle let alone talk about. That's why we still miss Chester, Chris and Kurt and so many others; but the legacy they left us with helps to keep the memories of them alive. 😎👍

I’ve watched most of your videos and I’m noticing that while I know almost every song you’ve played, I never watched the videos. It’s interesting to see them discovering the song with the videos and how that impacts the songs meaning. For me, the songs were always just the sounds so it’s changing some of my perspectives on the songs meanings as well. This one is a perfect example- I listened to Audioslave and Soundgarden for years but I never saw any of the videos before
It was so fascinating to watch the reaction to Chris Cornell's voice. I could see in them (especially Mr. Bughio) the same nearly visceral reaction myself and countless others have had to his voice - and that feeling never diminishes. Even after 30 years.
Before even translating the lyrics you can see its effect. Just fascinating.

Not sure if it’s the same in Pakistan, but here every hotel room has a Bible in it. I often wonder if band members read the Bible for that reason. They play shows until late at night, and can’t just fall asleep when they get back to their hotel rooms. Maybe a lot of Bible reading takes place under these circumstances .
It’s sort of unusual to see Bibles so regularly. Most homes don’t have Bibles in sight. If families have one, it’s usually tucked away somewhere , out of sight.
This is just from my own experience .

It always amazes me when I see young people like this, speak on, reflect on life and death, at such young ages, once more that they experience or witness such dire situations,.as a group, all of us, would so not want someone so young to go through hardships, and horror, at such young ages, not be exposed to such things, and all we can do is pass our knowledge onto them, as perhaps as an inoculation to prepare them for something that may come later in life,..when I was a kid, during the 1960's, my parents tried to shield me, all the while, still educating me, on the perils of life, don't talk to strangers, be aware of your surroundings,..but because of tv, for kids now, it's the internet, but for my generation it was tv, Walter Cronkite, Mike Wallace, on the news every day, reporting live from, and on the Vietnam War,..I saw the violence, and the worry and grief from my mom, for my dad, and I was too young at that time to understand, but I was still exposed, and didn't decipher it all until later, as a young adult,..there is a group, I know so many for you to get to, if you haven't, do check out Pink Floyd,..a song, well the album, Dark Side Of The Moon, is a revelation, about life, youth, and death,..Time, is one of the songs, and as I was at the time, and even more so now that I'm old, you may be amazed at how young these young men were when they made this masterpiece,.. , do keep going, your videos are just wonderful,.. Godspeed, Peace .....

Chris Cornell was one of the most important artists in my life. Grunge music hit it big right as I was in my early teens, so you're just finding yourself, discovering who you are. Kurt, Chris, Scott, Layne, all those guys helped shape my tastes in music (and style, everybody wore flannel back then). Now they're all gone except for Eddie Vedder. 30 years next year since Kurt's passing. I was working at a pizza joint when I heard it on the radio. We all just sort of stood there, not really understanding. There's a line from Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. "Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts." Yeah, they did. They really did. Does it happen to everyone? Do we all reach a point where we just want to go back in time? To those days where we felt comfortable and we understood our world, even if those times weren't the best? Just back to when everything we cherished was still there and alive? I never thought I'd be like that. Yet, here we are. RIP Chris. Hope you've found the peace you never could in life.

Great video! I highly recommend exposing these 3 gentlemen to the video for "Silent Lucidity" by QUEENSRYCHE. It's a hauntingly beautiful song about fear and dream states, and comforting a child through them. You can also tell them that it's one of Ustad Elizabeth's favourite reactions on The Charismatic Voice.

Once again I am very impressed by your decision to discuss the deeper meanings and topics of the songs you react to. I've loved both Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine (RATM is the same band but with a different singer) since I was a teenager. They were both very formative part of shaping my worldview.
If you decide to do orchestral songs again in the future I would love to see you do a reaction to "Answers". It is an orchestral piece with lyrics in english that was composed by a Japanese studio. It was created for inclusion in a videogame called Final Fantasy but the piece is beautiful on its own. It also has an accompanying cinematic called "End of an Era" which you can choose to either show or not show with the song.
Hunger Strike please, by Temple of The Dog. It was a "super group" created by Chris Cornell as a tribute to his friend, Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone. The song Hunger Strike also includes is Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, whose Performance of the song Black from MTV's Unplugged is amazing.
If you swing back around to Cornell, Nothing Compares 2 U is an amazing cover and also would open the door for some Prince.
