Fantastic swerve. Did not see the title change coming. Thought this was just a way to have Damo retain without Rampage taking the pin. Instead, you get the Rampage/Damo story continuing without the belt, which it doesn't need the belt. And now we get Connors/Hendry. Fantastic stuff.
Yeah, i knew they were gonna do the back stabbing thing, but i though it was gonna be Hendry that turns on Connors, and Damo to retain. Really diggin this thus far.
Renato STINGER I didn't think they'd do it involving the title and i thought Hendry and Connors would survive long enough to win the tag team belts or something
Rumor has it that Damo is going to NXT, so don't expect much of a feud from him and Rampage.

They were the only two people in the ring and it was for the title. Usually in matches like this, partners end up fighting each other eventually. (The chair shots, OTOH, were too much.)

I'll be honest, Conners hasn't been impressing me as a face. He's been a bit bland. Plus, with a finisher named "Righteous Kill" and those facial expressions he made he seems like he's goning to make a pretty good heel.
I mean, I hate the guy already for what he did to Hendry.
Hendry needs to beat Conners and take the belt
I'm sure they'll have a few matches where Hendry gets close to winning and fails before eventually taking the title.

Great ending. Damo and Rampage stay looking good, Hendry will remain over no matter what, this makes conners looks great and establishes another main event heel. The only thing is the whole ref bit at the end, I would of had Hendry just kick out
i think hendry landed on his neck and couldnt kick out tbh, thats the way it looked to me.
he shouldve just counted the fall since conners was going to win anyway
Yeah, I think Hendry legit tweaked his neck and couldn't kick out. They needed him to in order to solidify the heel turn with the chairshots, but it was momentarily awkward.
Good on the ref for trying to save it by acting like he had just barely lifted his shoulders off in a way that we weren't able to see from our camera angle. It at least somewhat salvaged things.

BY FAR the best entrance ive ever seen by Joe.
Loved that ending. Connors is no stranger to being heel, but this was a great build up and him going full-blown Gollum was fantastic. You can almost still feel he's face, but been pushed by Hendry's fun loving arrogant jabs at him over the weeks. Damo was a great champ and I'm glad it didn't just hand off to Rampage. Really looking forward to Joseph and Joe's next clash! Damo and Rampage fighting all the way up the ramp was so great too. You can really see that feud still has legs. Great job, WCPW.
Whatever Wrestlemania equivalent WCPW has in store is where Hendry should finally get that strap. We all want it, but letting it play out for months will make it all the more sweeter. In the meantime, I want more of this insane and driven Champ Connors!

Yes! I've seen Conners work as a heel in other promotions, he's incredibly good in the role. This show was awesome, makes me glad I picked up wrestling again! (I'd love to see El Ligero in the championship at some point ;) )

Joe hendry honestly has a gimmick good enough for wwe cut more promos with him so he uses the mic more if he gets really good on the mic and cuts some body fat he will honestly be one of the top pro wrestlers in the uk
Joe Hendry can't sell for shit. He never looks like he is in actual pain and in ring post spots his facial expressions even look outright comedic.
I feel like Rampage is an example of what Roman Reigns needs to be.

Damo not defending may tarnish the titles prestige in the short term but in if Connors holds on to it for a while then it won't effect it long term which with this promotion being so new is what they should be achieving for.
It looks like Damo may be heading to the WWE soon. He lost the ICW title not too long ago as well, so he's finishing things up in Europe.

Just gonna say. Joe Conners is a natural heel. What Culture has British Wrestling weekly on the channel. Righteous Joseph Conners is one of the top heels of that show. And it is GLORIOUS

the best thing about wcpw is the booking, This was perfect, my only gripe was the righteous kill ddt kickout spot, if it wasn't botched that would've been legendary
Really good match the heel turn makes complete sense and Damo has a reason to come back and try to win the belt however dropping the belt off Damo already makes the belt seem worthless so conners better hold it for a while to build up the prestige
Just heard Damo could be on his way to NXT which is great however Damo needs to have a rematch where conners cheats him out of it and he should put rampage over as well

Conners turning heel was a great move. He should've debuted as a heel in my opinion. This wouldn't have happened obviously but he's such a good heel in Southside wrestling

Connors turns Heel, Hendry becomes the Face chasing the belt from his former tag partner. I can work with that, gives both parties involved a lot to work with.

Kevin Owens was probably the second favourite going into the match, obviously rollins being the favourite. In my opinion there wasn't a favourite going into the match just that Conners was probably least likely.
It isn't really the same though. Obviously Rollins was the favorite, but KO was easily the second favorite to win. Big Cass was the easy choice to be first out and many didn't expect Roman to get the belt back at that point.
