thank you so much Elsa. you have described how Ive been feeling for the past 9 weeks. I live in UK, and Im Jewish and Ive been watching the news day and night also, from the minute I get up till I go to bed, but doing what I have to do in between times. I also felt I wanted to help, and being abroad what could I do, I also felt Ive been living in a parallel universe with people going about their daily lives without giving it another thought, but the events of 7th October in particular completely consuming me. My husband and I talk of nothing else, even if we go a walk in our local park, we end up talking about it. You are so right, it is hard to function normally after these events. My heart just breaks for the people who suffered, who are suffering, who have lost loved ones and especially the families of hostages still not released. It is unbearable to think what the hostages are going through, I donot know how their families cope and function worrying about them. What I have tried to do to help, and its not much but try to bring the truth to certain people who deny everything actually happened on 7th October, people who comment on youtube channels with anti israel thoughts or anti semitic thoughts, I contacted the BBC news website to try to bring the truth to them, and it has made a small difference. Its not a lot but its about as much impact as I can have right now, that and donating money to the IDF or to the displaced Israelis. I cannot imagine what it must be like having lost absolutely everything as well as being bereaved. thank you for helping me realise I am not alone in these responses. May there be an end to this conflict very very soon, and may you be able to return to Tel Aviv and live safely and securely in peace. and finally, Happy Chanukah!! love from England UK IL IL IL IL IL

      *Daniel 9;25,26*
25 *"Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One (H4899, mâshı̂yach), the ruler (H6057, prince), comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets (a square, an open plaza) and a wall (H2742, [וְחָר֔וּץ - wĕḥārûṣ] ), but in times of trouble.*
26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.

25 *Know therefore and understand, from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, [וְחָר֔וּץ - wĕḥārûṣ] even in troublous times.*

In the Tanakh, in the book of Ezra, we see the first group return to the land of Israel.
But they were only allowed to rebuilt the temple of God but not the walls of Jerusalem.
      ==
      7X7 = *49 years.*
      62x7 = *434 years.*
      49 years + 434 years = *483 years total.*
      --
*How do we know that a day is a year and that a week is thus 7 years?*
We can discover this by looking at Leviticus 25;8 for example.
      --
      *Leviticus 25;8*
8 *And you shall count off seven Sabbaths of years-seven times seven years-so that the seven Sabbaths of years amount to forty-nine years.*
      --
We can also discover this by looking at the following passages in the Tanakh.
      --
      *Numbers 14;34*
34 According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, *forty days, a year for each day, you shall bear your iniquity forty years,* and you shall know my displeasure.’
      --
Also look up *Jewish misjna Baba Metzia 9,10, and Sanhedrin 5,1.*
      --
      *Ezekiel 4;4-6*
4 Then lie down on your left side and place the iniquity of the house of Israel upon yourself. *You are to bear their iniquity for the number of days you lie on your side.*
5 For I have assigned to you 390 days, according to the number of years of their iniquity. So you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6 When you have completed these days, lie down again, but on your right side, and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah. *I have assigned to you 40 days, a day for each year.*

So when does the word go out to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem as prophesied in the book of Daniel?
When we look in the Tanakh, in the book of Nehemiah, we see the exact moment when the word to rebuilt Jerusalem and its walls goes forth and thus we know that from that moment we must calculate by adding 483 years from that time and at the end of the 483 years, the Messiah should appear.
      --
      *Nehemiah 2*
      *Nehemiah Sent to Judah*
1 In the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was before him, I took up the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had not been sad in his presence.
2 And the king said to me, “Why is your face sad, seeing you are not sick? This is nothing but sadness of the heart.” Then I was very much afraid.
3I said to the king, “Let the king live forever! Why should not my face be sad, *when the city, the place of my fathers’ graves, lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?"*
4 Then the king said to me, “What are you requesting?” So I prayed to the God of heaven.
5 And I said to the king, *“If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ graves, that I may rebuild it."*
6 And the king said to me (the queen sitting beside him), “How long will you be gone, and when will you return?” So it pleased the king to send me when I had given him a time.
7 And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, let letters be given me to the governors of the province Beyond the River, that they may let me pass through until I come to Judah,
8 and a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress of the temple, *and for the wall of the city,* and for the house that I shall occupy.” And the king granted me what I asked, for the good hand of my God was upon me.
      --
      *Nehemiah Inspects Jerusalem’s Walls*
9 Then I came to the governors of the province beyond the River and gave them the king’s letters. Now the king had sent with me officers of the army and horsemen.
10 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite servant heard this, it displeased them greatly that someone had come to seek the welfare of the people of Israel.
11 So I went to Jerusalem and was there three days.
12 Then I arose in the night, I and a few men with me. *And I told no one what my God had put into my heart to do for Jerusalem.* There was no animal with me but the one on which I rode.
13 *I went out by night by the Valley Gate to the Dragon Spring and to the Dung Gate, and I inspected the walls of Jerusalem that were broken down and its gates that had been destroyed by fire.*
14 Then I went on to the Fountain Gate and to the King’s Pool, but there was no room for the animal that was under me to pass.
15 Then I went up in the night by the valley and inspected the wall, and I turned back and entered by the Valley Gate, and so returned.
16 And the officials did not know where I had gone or what I was doing, and I had not yet told the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the officials, and the rest who were to do the work.
17 Then I said to them, *“You see the trouble we are in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer derision."*
18 And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good, and also of the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for the good work.
19 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite servant and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they jeered at us and despised us and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?”
20 Then I replied to them, “The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build, but you have no portion or right or claim in Jerusalem.”
      --
So we see that from the moment that Nehemiah was sent by king Artaxerxes with papers with permission to rebuilt Jerusalem and its wall, we have to start counting 483 years.
      --
We know from history that his reign started in 474 BC and we can read that Nehemiah had this conversation with king Artaxerxes in the 20th year of his reign and thus this was around 455 BC.
      --
      Thus, *455 BC + 483 years = 27/28AD (depends on the starting month's)*
*So, the Messiah could only come around this date of 27/28 AD...not before and not after and the only one who came around this year was Jesus of Nazareth.*
      --
On this day Jesus was baptized and he began his ministry and God said about Jesus:
      --
      *Matthew 3;17*
17 and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, *"This is my beloved Son,* in whom I am well-pleased."
      --
      *Matthew 17;5*
5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, *"This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!"*
      --
As was also prophesied by Moses:
      --
      *Deuteronomy 18;15,18,19*
15 Yehovah (יְהֹוָה) your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. *You must listen to him.*
18 *I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him*
19 *And I will hold accountable anyone who does not listen to My words that the prophet speaks in My name.*
      --
      Jesus said:
      --
      *John 12;49*
49 *For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment-what to say and what to speak.*
      --
      *John 15;15*
15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, *because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you.*
      --
Jesus never claimed to be God as mainstream Christianity teaches.
Mainstream Christianity is paganism disguising itself as Christian.
Mainstream Christianity uses false manipulated translations to make it seem Jesus is God and to uphold their false pagan trinity doctrine.
      --
We know from Scripture he only preached 3.5 years and was crucified.
This fulfills the last week in the prophecy of Daniel.
      --
      *Daniel 9;27*
27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; *and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."*
      --
40 years later, in 70 AD, Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed by the Romans, again, as was prophesied by the prophet Daniel.
      ==
      >>>> *To reject Jesus as the Messiah, is to reject the prophecy by the prophet Daniel, and to reject the prophecy of the prophet Daniel is to reject God and his Anointed One, the king of Israel, Jesus Christ and by rejecting Jesus as the Messiah, Jews in turn, are rejected by God.*

Same here. I'm Ukrainian on my mom's side and my grandfather on my dad's side was Jewish, so it's made me feel alone, more so during this current war because a lot of my friends support Ukraine and of course my Ukrainian cousins on my mom's side are happy that I support their country, but I don't feel the same solidarity among my friends in regards to Israel. As a Patrilineal Jew, I always observe Hanukkah by cooking cutlets and baking cookies and cakes, but this year was the first year in a long time where I actually lit a menorah. The wars have made me want to immerse myself in the Jewish faith even more so than I have in the past.

Please be aware that the same people in the United States who have knowingly condemned Ukraine to defeat and unfavorable territorial concessions to Russia are also supporting the Israeli genocide in Gaza. American officials knew for some time that they would not be able to sustain funding for Ukraine in defense against Russia but nevertheless encouraged Ukraine to fight instead of accept reasonable terms of negotiation many months ago. Now it appears that Russia will be able to do as it pleases in Ukraine while the United States and Europe simply decide to abandon the Ukrainians. These same politicians refuse to hold Israel accountable for its war crimes in Gaza even though they could, with one phone call and threat of withholding material and political support, end all the violence now. This is a reason why the public needs to be informed by more independent media sources rather than corporate media, which largely does not reflect the actual truth of important issues like Ukraine and Israel.

If you knew the slightest thing about Jews who really care about their religion you'd know that the promise of our ancestral land in the Bible is central to our religion. This is just a standard antisemitic reply to justify your unpleasant, obvious point of view. You say you care about humanity... Did you care about our people - yes jews who were murdered by your filthy terrorists, on 10/7? I see no moral compass in your answer. As far as im concerned we will never forgive and never forget what we have seen in Israel and in the outside world regarding antisemitism.

Shalom Joel! God Bless you brother. I'm praying for all of the Jews around the world and I will help anyway I can. I have a pretty awesome story to share with you and it has to do with you and your name. It's taken me 4 days to work up the courage to share this with you. This is what happened, the day before you even responded to my comment, I was praying asking God to put Jews in my path who He would like me to share Messianic Verses with. Then I felt in my heart, that God was going to highlight the person's name on a response to one of the comments I wrote. Then your comment came and I saw your name Joel. Well I couldn't get the name Joel out of my head and then all of a sudden Joel chapter 2 from the bible came to my heart and my eyes were drawn to v. 32 which states, "And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls" (Joel 2:32). On Saturday I specifically remember I was standing outback and I remembered you and your name and I felt God's love for you and literally had streams of tears rolling down my face. I felt such a strong love and compassion that God has for you. I know it might sound weird all of this, but I am trying to be obedient to what I felt was laid on my heart. I know the topic of Jesus (Yeshua is His Hebrew which means "salvation") is a sensitive topic. I want to share with you very respectfully and lovingly some of the Messianic Prophecies in the Tankah. Again I know this is sensitive topic brother. Here is why Christian's believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus fulfilled over 300 Messianic Prophecies. Some of the most common known messianic prophecies state that the Messiah would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14); The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2); The Messiah would come from the seed of the woman (Genesis 3:15) The Messiah would be of the Seed of Abraham and Seed of Judah (Genesis 22:18; Genesis 49:10), The Messiah would be considered the "Suffering Servant" (Isaiah 52:13-53:12), The Messiah would ride on a Donkey (Zechariah 9:9-10) He would be considered the Good Shepherd (Zechariah 13:7) (Psalm 22 talks about the crucifixion (" ..They pierced my hands and My feet. I can count all my bones. They look and stare at Me. They divide My garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots." v. 16-18). Daniel 9:1-27 talks about a Messianic Timeline. In addition the ancient Rabbis separate miracles into 2 categories one was miracles anyone could perform empowered by the Spirit of God to do so and the second being miracles that were called "messianic miracles" which only the Messiah would be able to do. Those 3 Messianic Miracles (1. The Healing of a Leper, 2. The casting out of a dumb demon, 3. The healing of a man born blind)- Jesus performed all of these miracles. In fact the Rabbis of the day, specifically the Pharisees at first acknowledged that Jesus could be the Messiah, however, they changed their mind because they believed the Messiah would overthrow the Roman government who was oppressing and taxing the Jews and that the Messiah would set up His kingdom on the earth. The early Rabbis used to acknowledge that the Messianic Prophecies foretold of both a suffering servant and a Redeeming King. In Christianity we believe that Jesus fulfilled the Suffering Servant prophecies when He was on earth and that He is coming back again to fulfill the Prophecies that the Messiah will rule and reign from Jerusalem on the Davidic Throne. We believe as Christians that since a Blood sacrifice was needed for the forgiveness of sins and since the temple was destroyed in AD 70, we believe that Jesus paid the blood sacrifice price by dying on the cross and raising again. There is also similarities between Jesus and Issac. Issac walked up the same mountain to be sacrificed and Jesus walked up that same mountain in which He was the ultimate sacrifice by dying on the cross. Issac carried his own wood for the altar, Jesus carried a wooden stake up that same mountain. In addition, the Ram's horns were stuck in a specific thicket thorn bush and those same thorns were the crown of thorns that Jesus wore. I'm not a theologian by any means and I know there is so much more to learn, but I wanted to share what I believe. There's so many other prophecies and patterns in the bible that point to Jesus but It would be pages upon pages long if I were to write it all out. I actually know many Jews who have accepted Yeshua as their Messiah (they are sometimes called Messianic Jews)- they believe Yeshua fulfilled the prophecies and that He is the Jewish Messiah foretold of in the Law, The Prophets, and The Writings of the Tankah. If you want to know more or if you feel a stirring in your heart a good Messianic Jewish organization is "Chosen People Ministries" "Jews for Jesus" etc. You can check out their websites or even go on youtube and listen to many of the testimonies. I know this is a lot of information but I just wanted to share with you. I hope you know I shared this in love and with the utmost respect. Shalom Brother @@NewYorker8312

I used to get angry when people would talk to me about Jesus, but I don’t get angry at all anymore. I think it’s beautiful. But I don’t even want to get so much into the details of theology because they’re not that important to me, as I judge people more by their actions, not by their beliefs. While it is relatively safe in France (depending on the neighborhood), it's not looking great for the incoming decade when looking at the demographics. I personally don't feel safe in most urban areas. Whether you're jewish, a woman, gay etc, it's a bleak future in Western Europe if nothing is done. The day the Israeli government stop acting like N*zis, is the day I'll stop calling them such. So many young jewish people, myself included are heart broken and devastated that people use a fascist state like Israel to represent them. My great grandparents will be turning in their graves, and, had they been alive today, they'd be speaking out against the state of Israel, just like my grandfather(a holocaust survivor) does now. To talk about October 7th without talking about everything before that Israel did, is monstrous. The propaganda used by Israel is the same that was used to get the village to shun my grandmother out of her house. People are now scared speaking out against a disgusting government in fear of being labeled as an anti-semite, that is a dangerous world to live in. Where fair and just criticism is considered hateful. IF you really wanted to make things better, you should be rallying with the Israeli people against the government. As long as this government hold power, we as a people will continue to be persecuted to the ends of the world!

Ms. Elsa, thank you for your video. Many of your feelings which you expressed are running through my heart and mind. I am an American: half Irish/half Ashkenazi, Catholic. Yes, an unusual combination. I also have immediate family living in Israel. I feel like the world has turned upside-down, where depravity and evil get the "victim" status, and the folks who were the actual victims of the evil and depravity are being blamed. Additionally, the fact that no women's group, none that I know of, has stepped up to the plate in support of the scores of Israeli women, young girls and teenagers who were raped, tortured and/or mutilated, slaughtered, and executed. It is also beyond distressing to see the demonstrations and riots all over my country in major cities and universities with the pro-Hamas terrorist/butchers sympathizers. The beyond-hate-filled rhetoric, the violence, the justifying of the pogrom, the antisemitism . . . it's all stunning. I am buoyed to hear that France had a rally to support the Israelis which had an large attendance; also, London had one. We had one in D.C., to which approximately 250,000 people attended. Might I add: Without incident.
With all of this said, I have contacted several representatives in my country who are directly affiliated with Israeli volunteer programs. I have filled out several applications. I feel at least I can actually do something; that at a minimum, I have a modicum of control over the fact that I am able and willing to assist in some small way. Hopefully, it will be in my field of work which Israeli currently needs help. I am not a young person, I am a senior citizen, but am still physically active and in shape.
Yes, indeed, it feels like a parallel universe.
Please stay safe, you and yours and all who support Israel.

Don’t feel guilty, going to Israel to “help” won’t do anything anyway, the Palestinians will continue revolting until they get the equal rights that they deserve, such as being able to marry who they want (Palestinians aren’t legally allowed to marry Jews or other Palestinians from different parts of the Palestinian territory), build where they want (Israeli government often destroys Palestinian homes built without a permit, which they almost never issue to Palestinians), and free movement.

As an Israeli living in Germany, I felt and feel the same way. Especially during the times of the atrocities of October the 7th, I was so shocked and in sorrow that participating in public day-to-day life, where everyone around me carried on as if nothing had happened, was painful.
