    Go with the wood buttons. The brass ones make the sweater look dated and remind me of something I wore too many years ago and I’m 70.

    Love the marled pink color of the Cumulus! I’m still so obsessed with your Kal cardigan and I am eagerly awaiting yarn to knit my own! I vote for the dark wood buttons.

    Hi Leslie! No shade to the lovely cardigan, but once you put on the Cumulus Blouse, your completion just popped! I think muted colors let your features shine a lot more :) Well done on finishing the blouse so quickly! I am currently trying to push through knitting a Helia sweater before a camping trip... Not sure it it will happen ;)

    Hi Leslie- Just want to give you a shout out and tell you I LOVE your Culumus sweater!!!! I have this pattern and I have 2 different yarns to make 2 sweaters in it. I'm 2 sweaters away from knitting them but definitely on my radar screen big time!!!! Thank you for sharing and I hope your weather cools down so sweaters are ok outside too! I've noticed my weather in a cooling trend YAY!!!!! Have a great week and look forward to your next episode. Carrie from Northern San Francisco Bay Area.

    I was so inspired by your serotonin cast on. I am a one project kind of knitter, but you inspired me to cast on a project that I have just been craving. I appreciate the cast on energy inspiration!🙌

    Love your cumulus blouse an the hat. I like Musselburgh hats and if I knit a slouchy Musselburgh or the bigger size, I use one of my 150 gram skeins I dye. This way it is still just one skein.

    The wood buttons look better size wise, I think. Mainly you should add the buttons you like.

    Glad you’re sharing the Spur Hat!! I’ve never seen it, and I’m looking for a good hat pattern that calls for only 1 fingering skein!

    Both buttons look nice, but I prefer the wooden ones

  • @aloudjane137
    @aloudjane137 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    First of all: YES the brown buttons look so much nicer and the colour really complements the green of the cardigan!
    Also, I applaud you for your determination to lengthen the sleeves and body of your projects!
    I don't know if them being too short was caused by you being impatient, but I know that this is the cause of MY sleeves/bodies/turtlenecks always turning out short (I am also very tall so I always have to add extra inches to patterns anyways). And you just inspired me (also with your cumulus blouse vlog) to just get over myself and add those extra inches!!! 😤💪😅

    • @knitcalifornia
      @knitcalifornia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha yes, it was definitely me being impatient!! I had a list of sweaters I wanted to get done before it got too hot so I was trying to get them finished as quickly as possible! But now I know I don’t like wearing them bc the sleeves are too short!

    If you think the wood buttons will match the vibe for your cardigan better, change them out!!! (I think both buttons look nice, but I would prefer the wood buttons, too)

    The Cumulus look gorgeous! I prefer the wooden buttons 😊As for your Dornie it’s going to look stunning in that yarn however is it bringing you joy to knit? If not it might be worth considering another pattern 😉

    Lovely job on the cumulus, the color is gorgeous. Also gorgeous is that bougainvillea color! I would choose the wooden buttons-they just seem to go better with the cardigan/color.

    The green sweater for Ireland (can't remember the name)... I get that it's hard, but have done such an amazing job on it. I encourage you to power through. Make yourself do it for 30 minutes a day. Honestly, it's gorgeous.

    I LOVE your cumulus blouse!! 💕 The color of the yarns marled together is perfection. I’m normally a crew neck only person but I love how yours looks with the tank underneath! Now I need to knit this and style it the same with a crew neck tee underneath. Serotonin cast on???

    Hi Leslie, such a wonderful job you did on the sweater…just beautiful! I have a question. On a previous podcast you mentioned you needed to make the raglan green sweater longer before splitting for the sleeves. I’m working on a raglan for my husband and there’s no way I should split when it says to. Do you continue increasing with the raglan or do you just knit “straight” until the fit is good? I’ll sure appreciate your time and assistance. You’re such a talented knitter! Thank you!

    • @knitcalifornia
      @knitcalifornia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! For my sweater I’m going to keep increasing because I think the underarm join needs to be a bit deeper. It kind of depends on where you want the join to be! I hope that helps a bit!
