I prefer manual brightness adjustment because proximity sensor has never matched my requirement

In my pixel 4a, auto brightness works like a charm and I've tried both manual and auto. Battery consumption is almost the same.

To be honest, i found this phone very good when it comes UNDER 6K. these days the meaning of a good smartphone is changed. I used to be happy with a 12k phone earlier and now, when i bought a 25k phone, i feel nothing has been changed, my expectations didn't met.
This phone has a nice camera, all the necessary censors, good outdoor visibility. Considering the price, the user should not criticize about notch, fingerprint and all.

I always use Manual brightness. It's much more faster and I know what to expect when I change it manually . I have used op6t and using iPhone 13. I have hated autobrightness in all platforms
My grandmother moderately uses phone for calling, youtube and camera not much apart from these. I feel this phone will be a good gift to her.
it is surprising for me that people use automatic brightness. i never thought it is useful feature
exactly. I absolutely hate it. It never matches my preference and I always have to tweak it.
also when you are outdoors and keep moving your phone, the brightness keeps changing and its very irritating.

Exactly it varies from person to person how much brightness they like in indoors and outdoors mine is always lower than most in indoors

In the past it used to be too aggressive with auto brightness which has been solved now so it won't change your brightness level immediately that you set according to you.

Autobrightness makes my phone extremely dim for my preference. I keep it manual on iPhone (iP14PM) as well as Android (ROG3)

It's actually a good phone compared to all the other budget craps like itel, ikall, techno etc.. This also comes with 2 years of warranty currently as the launching offer. Even if this offer is gone, make sure to purchase extended warranty which cost around 499/- Only since it's a budget device.

I always use manual brightness adjustment because when there are enough lights around, automatic works fine but in low light situations it keeps adjusting every time.sometimes it gets too dim sometimes it gets brighter when there is no need.
So I Always prefer manual adjustment to the brightness.
BTW I am using a mid range smartphone Realme GT Master Edition.
And this phone's proximity sensor is bad.
I use manual brightness mostly because automatic keeps the screen too bright for my eyes in every device including iphones.😅
Nowadays the phones have become too costly. I had bought Moto E6s for my mother 3.5 years back at 6000 rupees. That phone has 64 GB storage and 4GB ram with Helio P22 processor. She is still using it without any problems.

I had gone to buy phone some days back probably 3-4 days back . I had tested this phone as well . The phone was OK but the camera was shit . I would pay 2-3 k more for a phone which has better camera . I remember when xiomi had came to India . They were offering phones with metallic bodies and that too under 15k ... Redmi Note 3 was one of the phones which I feel was the game changes in Indian mobile Industry . It seems company have majorly focused their behaviour towards Camera majorly . They have forgotten that there is a mass market which needs a decent phone with 5000 mah Battery + Bloat free software support + and less heating issue . I feel thiis can be achivied below 10k but companies are not willing to do so . Hope Redmi is back on track and do some great shit like they used to do earlier when they came to India .

I have just a week ago given two of my managers poco c50 which was purchased at 5799 each for only business purposes like getting calls and whatsapp msgg the day it was unpacked ui update was received and i already warned them to not update😅 compare to this phone looks are same can’t tell about specs but there is fingerprint sensor too overall it is working great for now

mai to automatic brightness use naki karta kiuki mujhe lgta hai ki usme battery zyada jata hai.... same brightness se ek consistency raheta hai... lekin automatic me alag se sensor ko kaam karana parta hai na... to battery service kam hone ka kuch to lagta hai mujhe...ab mujhe nahi pata ye thik hai ki nahi.... mujhe bass lagta hai😐🙂......

I use manual brightness because our smartphones burn a lot of battery in running extra components and the automatic brightness settings never match my requirement.
Also, believe or not I'm using a phone from 2016 running Android 6 at Rs. 13,000. Time changes everything.
I think the condition of the Redmi A2 and my Oppo A57 are same because it always sets to a specific brightness, regardless of my surroundings.
