The more I watch Reb, the more I appreciate him: the talent and personality. Looking forward to seeing him I’m Birmingham May 2022 with Whitesnake. Got him noticed just lately, and backtrack his career to early Winger days. Just can’t believe how good he has been in his early days against all other Big Names. Amazing.

Noticed that he didn't use left hand pinky, but does tapping with right hand close to left hand.
Thanks for watching. Picking up on your last comment, George Lynch's earlier style (eg Dokken period) featured him playing large fretting hand stretches with small distances between fretting hand fourth finger and a finger on his picking hand. A slightly different choice than many late 70s/early 80s tappers. Reb later replaced George in Dokken but I'm sure he was tapping like he is here way before Dokken.

That's great if you've found a back issue with Allen - I've enjoyed working with all the guest artists but I've worked with him the longest. This is awesome. Reb is one of the best. Kind of cool that he discusses his gear at the end. I was shocked when he says he plays 11 gauge strings sometimes. That kind of floored me. I can't find anywhere what brand he prefers. Once I bought an instructional DVD directly from him. He included one of his picks. Super cool!
Yes, Reb uses .011 gauge for Eb tuning so the string resistance is similar with a lighter gauge at E tuning. Thanks for watching Kurt!

@@motrock2 Hey! I use 009's for E tuning, 010's for Eb tuning, and 011's for D tuning, which all my guitars are in because Whitesnake and Winger aren't getting any younger. Interestingly you don't have to adjust the Floyd because the bridge stays the same, meaning it is the same tension if you use those gauges. I use D'addarios and they make me a special gauge pack of 11 15 18 25w 36 and 50. Anyway, don't be shocked because the 011's in D have the same tension as the 009's in E haha! I aint no Stevie Ray Vaughn!! He used 013's in E I think. Thanks!
