👋 del I’ve live in 🇫🇷 I’ve been 👀 from age 9yrs now I’m 16yrs I’ve left school and I’ve started to training on plumping then when In 2 yrs I go on 2 my electric training then I do my gas training u have experience me to do this as I believe in safety in all walked In life thank u ❤❤
I was taught to get down behind skirting board get a bit of 20mm metal condute put a slight bend at the end then hammer it down your cable run should get behind skirting ground & should be down under the floor 👍
Don’t take the skirting off .Drill part way then get a bit of thick bar or conduit with a kink on the end and give it a good hard wack a couple times . As for back boxes how about MK metal boxes .
I know what you mean about the back boxes, they just look odd As for chasing the walls, thin walls meant i couldn't back to back mount boxes neither, so more work than i was expecting in my house
Hilti tools are quality, they provide non aggressive power. Unless you’ve used a Hilti tool, you would not know what I’m talking about. Yes. Expensive, but quality.
I'm just curious. You said there was a problem with one of the circuits but you'll be changing the board with these issues present and issuing an EIC. Wouldn't that necessitate the remedial work being done??
Hi, is it worth pursuing a career as an electrician. My dad is telling me to get into this trade saying there’s good money in it but I’m already 23 years old with no experience. Would appreciate your advice. Thanks
I'll answer this one. I didn't start studying to be an Electrician until way after your age and yeah it was a bit crap basically starting again but you are a good age to get learning and build up for experience. I lacked the apprenticeship but built my experience up by working as a mate whilst studying, then an improver working on domestics, new builds, temp electrics firm, then BMS systems, Crossrail and now network infrastructure. Basically in other words, go for it.
Go for it, I was basically the same age when I started training as an electrician. I'd previously done my aprentership in Plumbing & Gas. I'd suggest you try and go out and work alongside a sparky for a few days to see if it's something that interests you. 👊
The man, the myth, the electrician. Welcome back, Del.

Amazing work
Cheap hack: triangle metal file to recut the teeth of your multitool blade. Great watching a contractor doing a good job. Keep it up, Del.

100%
You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs😂
What sort work pants are those del ? Look better than snickers.
Mains drill ..?? 😃
Little tip to prevent loose cable under the floor like you had is to use 20mm conduit and metal strap it to the underside of the floor joists.
I'm just curious. You said there was a problem with one of the circuits but you'll be changing the board with these issues present and issuing an EIC.
Wouldn't that necessitate the remedial work being done??
Yes 100% you can change a board and leave a circuit with no earth
Del were you using 35mm back boxes or was that a camera optical illusion? If yes, why ? 25 mm is fine for a double socket surely?
Future proofing in case they fit usb sockets or wifi sockets later
@@markyd2633some usb sockets now only need 25mm.
😀its all cool and the gang del
I thought those tools were for just smashing old palettes up.

Del your the best electrician in the uk
Apart from me 😉
Del. Welcom back. How come you put it so low. instead of the regulation 45 centermeters?
That’s only for new installations not alterations to old houses
Please dont call it 45cm....450 mm. All day long
18 inch sounds much better
tell her Need A New RCD or RCBO C/U. as there wasn’t any RCD on that board
Del re sharpen the multi tool blades with a thin angle grinder disc and create your own teeth
I hate this part of the job
the metal boxes are so cheaply made . ..
Good job Please can I get number
Avoid those jobs not worth what ever you charge
I like that Sam
These old builds....
