I know. I’ve been wondering where all that was for years but never looked in the back of one closet thinking I would never have put it there. Of course I did, lol.
YES!!! I remember ALL of that!! NUTSHELL NEWS, Real Life Miniature kits, Frank's Nursery and Crafts too!!! Your Collection is Lovely! Thank you for letting me know i'm not the only one that remembers those things!! By the way I LOVE All the Babies I have lots of them too and I've found miniatures lost in storage too!!! Thank you for sharing! 😃
@@thecreativebohemian4927 OH WOW! THANK YOU 😊❤️I TRULY APPRECIATE THAT!!! I REALLY ENJOYED THIS VIDEO! Hearing name things and places that are from my early miniature journey Warmed my heart and reminded me of my Daddy 😍! Thank you for the precious memories 😌❤️!
I totally used to shop at Frank’s Nursery for minis. And I too had a lost box of miniatures in the attic. We found it this last year when looking for Christmas decorations. I’d for sure thought I’d lost it and was so happy when the hubs found it.
Yes! Kept asking my husband to loo for it in the attic and he kept saying it’s not in the attic. He looked all over. Turns out it was in a closet in the back. The one closet I never checked.
Oh that was lovely. And nothing was dusty!! I remember Nutshell News!! I used to buy them at the craft store. They even went to a standard size still as Nutshell News. I didn't realize they changed the name to Dollhouse Miniatures. Thanks for that piece of the puzzle for me. I wish i had gotten some of those kits that aren't being made anymore. I thought Bombay furniture was a store in my local mall. Loved that store they had such interesting pieces. I didn't remember them having miiniatures. Sadly i was never able to completely set up a single dollhouse or even a room box. I do have a small 4 room house that someone else built, painted and wallpapered. I found it in a consignment shop. I had purchased some furniture but i don't know where it is. And i had some tools like a dremel, Xacto knives, and a miter saw. Beads. My little house was from a kit made by a company that isn't making them anymore. I keep hearing that it was better than Greenleaf. Sounds like people wish it was still around.
I have Nutshell news going back as far as the 80s. Yes, I have a few in the larger format too. They changed the name to Dollhouse Miniatures because they felt that not everyone understood that Nutshell referred to dollhouses. Yes, Bombay had the miniatures in their catalog or online. It was similar to the furniture they sold in their mall stores. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it very much. 😊
@@thecreativebohemian4927 I asked my husband if I could subscribe to nutshell news, and he asked me where it was Published??? Ummm ok so I looked and found out. So I told him and he said that place has no news. Wow, what a fool. But he did go to at least one miniature show with me, bought the small dollhouse for me, and helped me get started cutting pieces for a room box that I had designed. He was a construction worker and at the doll show he spent a long time talking to people building houses. Mini construction. Too bad he wasn't more supportive to encourage me. With his skills in tools it could have been nice.
@@recoveringsoul755 unfortunately some hobbies just don’t make sense to other people. I often feel isolated regarding my love of miniatureS. None of my friends have any interest in the hobby. They just say “How cute.” and are probably rolling their eyes inside. At least your husband was into the construction of the houses. ❤️
I know. Me too. So many great stores have closed over the years. I used to have several favorite miniatures shops too that have all closed. There are none now. 🙁
Ride a cock horse to Banbury cross, to see a fine lady upon a white horse. With rings on her fingers & bells on her toes, she shall have music whereever she goes😊 Yes, an English nursery rhyme. No idea what a cock horse is though 😂
I think your mini doll in the matchbox is meant to be a reproduction of an old fashioned penny doll, given a matchbox bed by the child who played with her. Hence the tiny pink blanket.
Finding it is like Christmas!🎄🎁 I remember Frank's! Loved it! Yea, Duke!🐶
Yes. I loved Franks for their holiday decorations too.
Wow that was like Christmas.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
🍁🍂🦃🍂🍁

You packed everything away so carefully, this was fun to watch! And what a lovely job you made of the Victorian dollhouse, thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you and I am glad you enjoyed it. It was fun opening all those pieces that have been packed away for so long.

Lol. I need to read it again. Maybe it’s not cock horse. The text was so small. I’ll have my son with younger eyes read it for me. 😊
It is cock horse. As in cock sure or feisty ❤

Thank you for letting me know that! I have never heard of that. Thanks for taking the time to watch!
