3 Striper Blitzes - One Good, One Bad, One UGLY!!

- 3 different days of fishing from this fall run season, one bite was on Mullet, one on Peanut Bunker, one on Anchovies. Fall run 2024 has been pretty underwhelming here in RI, hardly and albacore showed up and the Stripers weren't much more than average at best. Is the best yet to come? Great video Chris, really enjoyed it. Your surf fishing skills are amazing! Great job describing your strategy, your ability to read beaches, i.e.noticing the point on that beach, knowing it will produce in the Fall, recognizing sloughs and sand bars, knowing the action of lures in the water given split ring and hook set up, knowing striper behavior regarding types of bait ( aggressive on mullet, not so aggressive on peanut bunker)...I've learned a lot from you. Wish you were around when I surf fished a lot on Long Island in the 90s...we did ok but would have done better with your videos haha 😂

Nice video Sea-Money. We have yet to have a true fall run in NJ thus far. Though it is still relatively early. We've been smashed with big winds last few weeks so we should get an indication of where this fall will go over the next week or so with calmer conditions.

The anchovy bite can be so frustrating...a casting egg with a fly seems to be the only thing that works consistently in that situation. Love the content brother!
Thats really funny. I was on the beach that day. it was a thursday and my girlfriend and I were cracking up at your friend's dog. She is great. Anyway, I remember he caught a bass. I dont catch anything these days. Again, the dog was a hoot.

The key is, go from spot to spot, and stop and fish when you find fish. Any public access will have fish at some point.

the dog makes the video. Ive been a hardcore flyrodder for 30+ years and this season is the most troubling ive seen. With all the bait thrown bite has been slow or non existent. No albies, bones basically screwed. Ive almost given up.
albies certainly let us down.. had to search harder to find the bass, wont remember much from fall run 2024 other than the prolonged noreaster. I do remember when I was a lot younger a certain prolonged noreaster in Oct that was the beginning and end of our fall run, that was NJ though. Dog is absolutely crazy... she goes wild at the beach and for fish haha
