Funny you doing the Batmobile again, I just cleaned out my dad's attic out..guess what I found, my Batmobile, looks like regular wheels and says BATMOBILE on the bottom. Had to go downstairs as you started your video to bring it up. Needs windscreen, batman, antenna, horns...I think I played batman a few times..lol. Make sure the redwheeler one has the correct stamping on the baseplate, should say BATMOBILE in capital letters along the bottom, not National Periodical Publications 😉👍

Very nice to see the Mrs. doing well in the garden. Thanks for the chrome tip. I just got Stuart Semple's Mirror paint. He's UK based. Paint is super expensive but it works pretty close to magic when it comes to making a chrome like mirror finish. Great results and thanks for the tips on spotting genuine red wheel Batmobiles!

Absolutely brilliant video Bob. The in depth tuition is a real help as getting the inside mechanisms working smoothly once theyve been removed, cleaned and painted is not as easy as you make it look. This video has covered the areas Ive been having problems with and should enable me to finish the 2 dismantled ones Ive got here. When we first bought the Batmobile, I am sure we never gave much thought to the miniature engineering inside it that made everything work, and seeing it all being re-assembled is fascinating. I wonder, would you ever use filler if surface damage was too bad to be fixed by sanding? And, at 1:12:19, is it superglue, and what is the tool you are using to apply it?
Yes I do use filler (Humbrol) if there are any really bad gouges anywhere, and yes it is super glue and the tool is just homemade, it’s just a piece of strong wire with an old paint brush handle! 😉👍
Yes the old bat wagan turned out rather well - the paint job looked stunning. Although it turned out to be rather more fidley than I thought it would be. The croming I found quite interesting but it does leave a question to be asked and it's this. Bob does your misses ever use your nail polish ? Keep well and mind how you go mate. 👍

hi. have you ever found a 1969's bin wagon before there were pneumatics on refuse carts. it had six scrolling lids, 3 on each side. i had one when i was young and have never seen one since. it might have been a dinky car so if it was, i am sorry for wasting your time. had a great time playing with this toy which is why i am inquiring. they were called dust carts in those days because most homes had a fire place to burn coal and the rest of paper rubbish and there was a lot less house hold waste in those days.
Yes mate, there is a guy on eBay who’s father I think used to work in the actual Corgi factory in the day and he has recently sold mint boxed and unboxed versions of many of these which were collected over the years of his father being there! I think his seller name is Captain Scarlet? Thing is mate you need a big wallet as they go for silly money 😳

I am not a fan of the theme cars particularly but you, Sir, have got those Batmobiles down to a fine art! The redwheel motor looks superb!
