Although many people probably know 'Jounetsu Tairiku' only as the documentary style program in Japan about people and their work, the theme actually shares the same name as the program. My guess is they named the program after Hakase's piece, after they got permission to use it for the show... but of course I could be wrong :p
@jeffreyCs It's just industrial-strength hair product coupled with a powerful hair dryer. Looking at the pics on his blog, his usual hair looks pretty normal~ I must say I love his gravity-defying style too, though~ (:
