FYI: Last month youtube decided to block this video, after almost 2 Years. Don't ask me why. I had to replace the Song "In My Mind" by Dynoro (5:53 - 7:28) to fix the copyright issues. I found the song "If i had a chicken" in the TH-cam Music Library and I think its better than muting the part :D
@@khaledperro7121 The labels can decide if they block a video or not. And sometimes only one song in the set is blocked and you can fix it by muting/removing/replacing that track. But Most labels tolerate their music in TH-cam videos, because they claim the ad revenue. So i can't monetize my videos but i can use their songs. Good compromise i think.

So is that a record label who wasn't happy with you using their track even though they could receive ad revenue from it ? Do you need to do anything regards the ad revenue for the labels on your mix or does TH-cam take care of it all? Just wondering how they magically get the money. So FB is good for doing sets then and rarely tracks get pulled due to copyright ? Does it help if you provide a tracklist or does that make no difference at all? Nice selection. Im learning too but I can find simple mistakes here: 1) Mix in key (Use circle of fifths) 2) Use Master tempo or change the pitch from the upcoming track on your headphones before drop it then modify the pitch on build ups. 3) On transitions; - try on the end of the drops with a "boom" from the new track, or add a reverb FX to add a tail to the previous track. So it doesnt sound abrupt. 4) Dont adjust the BPM just by seing the numbers. Try not to see the screen and hear if they are equal or not. Modify the pitch until you think is the same... Then watch the screen to see how accurate you were. Train with house, tech house, techno music.
I think almost the same, but your number 4... If you are mixing a quick mix and you want to change the song quickly, it's almost impossible to synchronize by the ear. What I mean is that you need a visual reference on the screen, that it doesn't mean that you don't have to adjust the sound only by the eyes. Of course that for mixing you need to understand how it works and it is cool by House Music and Techno. With those genres it is OK to synchronize by the ear cause you have enough time ;) To me...it's just about how creative you can be with every single kind of music. So I have a different opinion in your number 3) because we, as a DJs, have to break some rules to be more creative ... as much as we can ahahahaha
La cosa che odio è tagliare il brano perché nella old school il brano si ascolta fino al momento del break. Oggi le nuove tecniche di mixaggio fanno sì che i loop ti vengono in aiuto se un brano non ha il break. Negli anni 80 90 il break era importante per il cambio...
Paul G No but in Rekordbox there‘s next to the jogwheels I thinks it‘s at the bottom or top right a button it says MT (Master Tempo) that‘s the keylock
@GREVO Okay thanks for answer. It feels underwhelming because they could've easily added it like under the beat sync button. That function exists on most other DJ controllers so I wonder why they decided to ditch it for this controller.
Paul G because this is a real entry level Controller, if this button would be on it, something else would be missing. On which „small“ Controller did you see that button? I‘m pretty sure the only ones that have this are more expensive
How u setting the gain to '12 oclock'? Im using ddj 400 also but only till 9.30@10 o clock the gain setting only, if more the bar light grtting red. Tq if u respond to this.. Anyway i like ur mixing.. Cannot comment more since im not get expert.. 😁

You had any other window laptop for DJing ? Whats your thoughts on Mac's...did you want one ? I've been looking at getting a refurbed Mac 2013 or an HP laptop.
Ppl just seeing the mistakes... guys there is no rules on music, you can mix 105 to 122 perfectly, use sync, automix and mix two voices if you want, stop being god pls. Its sad. The most important in dj is to know what music to play, not the way. Nice mix 👌👌👏
What camera are you using here to record this and how from that angle ? And how are you showing the waveforms from your laptop at the same time ? Nice mix!
I use my phone (IPhone 7) to record. I use a tripod which lays on a shelf above my desk. Hence the nice angle. I record the screen with OBS and then mask out the parts i want on top of the real footage. (It's a screen recording of Rekordbox)

All tripods are good I'm guessing and all point down like yours ? I've not heard of OBS will check that out. Also do you record and sync the music in later from your controller? If so...how ? Cheers
It's my first controller so i can't compare it to others, but i have to say it's very intuitive. A big advatage in my opinion is the full version of Rekordbox, which is included, and the "big" pitchfaders in copmarison to other beginner Controllers! I can recommend it to get into the DJ world :D

Good music but the things is, most of the songs weren’t mixed, it was more of a “let the playlist play” more than anything. No hate tho, keep up the work man.

I recommend using the keylock if you are gonna use the tempo fader, other than that I recommend trying some house mixing, its great for learners :)
Does the DDJ-400 have a keylock/master tempo button if u know? I can't seem to find it on pictures.

Twitch_Raven record the camera on the decks and use software such as OBS to record rekordbox. Then just overlay it in post production.
